I use to but haven't in about 20 years.
I know there are a few.
H2Ocarver owns a scuba shop also.

Doesn't BusaDawg scuba?

I would love to. Just haven't been able to yet.

PADI certified.. but other than the springs, do we have nice dive spots around here? I've been to Hawaii, grew up in Miami & the Keys so I'm used to clear water with all the colorful fish and corals. The Tampa Bay area "murky" water does not motivate me to dive. Love boating and fishing in the bay but that's about it. How about the Gulf? How far out do you have to go for a decent dive spot?

Gear can be expensive but there is lower priced gear available as well. Just like riding gear, you can pay a lot for a name. from my experiance the real money comes in when you start paying for charters. Local charters are around $80-$100 depending on where you want to dive. I have heard that charters in the keys can be half that but they have half the distance to travel to a good dive spot.

If you are looking for a nice gulf charter give Tanks-A-Lot a try. I have been out with them twice now and they run a great charter. Capt. Mike and Heidi are awesome.

If you are looking to do a Tooth Dive charter try Capt Jaime

Its ok to dive from the beech for teeth, and cheaper, but its a long way out to get any depth over 17 feet. Its much nicer when all you have to do is jump off the boat.

Gulf Dive with Tanks-a-lot. We were on the Rube Allyn Reef

There are much larger teeth to be found at venice but this is the largest one I have personally found.

These are the typical teeth you find in venice diving from the beach or a boat

Also PADI certified, but have not been deep in a couple of years and have about 30 dives under my belt--so I'm still a noobie!
