Cool What did you do to your motorcycle today?

These threads are popular on other sites, so I thought we'd give it a try.

Post up anything you did. Did you stare at it? Hug it? Wash it? Ride it? Take some photos? Add or subtract some parts? Post up what you have done today. It may give others ideas. Pics are always a bonus. I'll start.

I'll be riding to work for the next 3 days, so I wiped mine down and cleaned the chain.

I stared at it fondly this morning before I jumped in the cage; I have'nt ridden in a week. I did start it yesterday though and I am planning on riding tomorrow unless the weather doesn't cooperate.

I'm missing mine today. With the wet weather and being sick has kept both of my babies in the garage.

I get up every morning and go into the garage and look at it. Also do the same thing when I get home from work and before I go to bed.
Yes, my life is a little bit boring.

It's all fixed, and everything is good.

We've had a similar thread going a while ago that Stu created...

I haven't seen my bike since I rode it to Barney's December 21st. While I was out playing in the snow enjoying road tripping and my family, my bike had the master cylinder replaced due to a safety recall. In the next few days my mom should be picking it up and taking it to her house... it's going to sit on a battery tender until further notice...

... I'll go get it eventually, but it's been cold and rainy. Organizing a ride hasn't been necessary... as it hasn't been urgent. Tomorrow- the weekend I'll be occupied carrying for Brian post-surgery and Tuesday I'll begin commuting to and from Largo for work (Business attire, sadly not motorcycle attire)

I started in the garage because it is Thursday. Thursday and Monday are garbage days, so I start it regardless each trash day whilst rolling the bins to the curb.

    Long story short, NOTHING.
But since you asked, I’ll rant.
Let me start off by saying, I don’t believe I have ever ordered from Chaparral before but I do make a lot of purchases online and normally at the time I order something I know beforehand if the item is in stock and ready to ship.
I first placed the order for two tires on Dec. 18th and before the end of that day I received an email confirmation from Chaparral with a order #. I also received an email confirmation from PayPal stating the payment was sent to Chaparral with a transaction #. After about 10 days and no delivery, I went online to check the status of my order. This returned a “problem loading my order” reply so I started calling customer service. The first day I called twice and was in the loop waiting for someone to answer for over 15 min. each time so I hung up. The second day on my third attempt that day someone answered. They tried to find my order by my name, address and order # and was not able to locate my order. I gave them the PayPay transaction ID and I believe that’s how they finally located the order but the person I spoke to said he could not give me a status but someone would call me back. No one called me back. On Dec. 31st I received an email confirmation that the order I placed on Dec. 30th (the day I spoke to someone on the phone) was being processed. I spoke to someone again at Chaparral and they said one of my items would not be shipped until mid January. This brings me back to my original statement, If I would have known from the time I first placed the order that these items were not in stock and ready to ship, I would not have placed the order. Yesterday, Jan. 8th, I received my front tire. Today I received an email from Chaparral stating my other tire would be shipped from the manufacturer to them on Jan. 25th 2015. Really, 2015? I hope that was a misprint.
Chaparral is off my list of mail order suppliers.

^ why I believe in motorcycle-superstore for such purchases. Sometimes not THE best price...but it is here when it says it will be here without fail.

Back on topic....opened up the seat and rear light assembly since Paul told me my tail light was acting wonky last week. Think it is just a bit of a loose socket..you know, once something been shoved in there for a few years.....

I just got a new pair of Dainese 4-stroke gloves in the mail, so I went out in the garage and sat on my bike to see how everything felt on the grips...yes, I was wearing clothing.

Picked up a set of bar ends for the FZ1. Bar ends are weighted for anti-vibration, have replaceable bar end sliders, and have grooves for my bar end mirrors for when the FZ1 is on the street.
