Anyone try this stuff? Lots of guys on 600rr.net are using on fairings, the subframe, and other odds and ends. Sprays on and can be peeled off later. Just curious if anyone has used it and their experiences.

Already have the gun, will definitely be doing my zx6r before selling, and going to try one of my cars.

“I guess it's because we all want to believe that what we do is very important, that people hang on to our every word, that they care what we think. The truth is, you should consider yourself lucky if you even occasionally get to make someone - anyone - feel a little better. After that, it's all about the people that you've let into your life.”— J.D.
Kinda confused by the video. This stuff is actually called plasti dip. Phone auto corrected it. Comes in spray cans. Seems pretty cool.
Actually it comes in gallons too. I think it was $70 a gallon. 2 gallons paint a car.
You use the Wagner double duty sprayer to put it on.
Later if you want to change it, you peel it off.
I'm going that route rather than the spray cans.
Have to check how it will attach to the plastic covers on the Honda Element before doing my whole car.

Twitch on here has used it on his bike. I will send him a link.
Still confused by the video but you are correct. Comes in different colors. Gallons or spray cans. You can get a shiny top coat. People even us it on their helmets. It claims to protect and come completely off if you want.
Are there any residual effects on fairings?? I wanna try it.
It wears out.
I talked with Fonze, the guy who is on the video and is the distributor too.
He said it usually last about a 1 1/2 years before it looks worn out and you just peel it off.
Nothing left on the car.
Give me a month or so and I will be doing it on my zx6r plastics first.

It's pretty cool stuff.... Same thing Klein tool co. uses on their wire cutters/stripping tools..
I wanna do my helmet
Tons of stuff on YouTube. Looks like fun.

I'm gonna try it on something. I'm tempted to murder out the bike and do all my fairings just to do it. Then I can hypothetically just peel it off when I'm done and go back to stock.
It's cool stuff but it does start to crack after a year.
RC guys use it for water proofing electronics. I never have. There is also that stuff they sell on tv Flexseal, which can also be purchased at home depot, or auto parts stores as rubberized undercoating.
Great stuff, and junk.
I used plasti dip on my truck and it's awesome stuff. No priming or prep needed besides a good cleaning.
I had it on my front bumper for like two years and when I sold it two weeks ago it pealed right off without any damages.
I plan to do some spots on my bike and now my new scion xB. The only thin that sucks is it only comes in black, white, or red.
Frankenstein modded my SV650.
Have you ever seen the movie "The Jackal"? When he coats the van with white, then pressure-washes the color off? Same idea.
I've been thinking about dressing up my OEM Subaru rims with it. You can get a "metallizer" that gives it a metallic look, and a gloss coat as well. It seems like a really easy way to recolor/protect stuff. Here's their website:

I think they even have a color kit now that is clear and comes with different color tints you can mix and make whatever color you want.I used plasti dip on my truck and it's awesome stuff. No priming or prep needed besides a good cleaning. <br />

Hmm, I might have to try this stuff out, would be pretty cool if it works/looks good..
