You meed to do exactly that... I really liked the 848... Until I rode it and disliked pretty much everything about it. I love my Street Triple though.

Aaron is a great dude. great shop for purchasing a NEW bike.

im kinda stuck here, i have TWO shops that i do business with. MANX and EURO CYCLES.

BOTH shops are GREAT places to do business with.
EACH have great things to offer the purchaser.

so as not to offend either one. i say check both places out. purchase stuff from BOTH places and we all will be happy!!! lol

Here she is. Had a look at her this morning. Unfortunately it's a little out of my impulse buy range too. Sat on the flat black 848 and it's more comfortable than I remember. As comfy as super sport bikes go anyway...
Guess I'll just have to keep drooling.

Probably old news but the F3 didn't stack up on this review.

Didn't seem to jack the price too much though. I got my eye out for a deal on that or the standard 675. Would have to be a pretty good deal but it happens.

Wonder if Euro would be mad if I just wanted to try one out?

dude on the .net has a 675R and it is beautiful!

he said the diff between the racing edition and standard is:

"The shifting pattern is regular 1 gear down & 5 gears up GP is reverse the 675 is stripped from what i know the 675R has the following goodies

CF 5 parts to be exact
    Ohlins suspension front and rear
    Gear indicator
    Speed shifter
Brembo brakes for the front ( master Cyl , Caliper )
Steel braded brake lines front and rear

There might be a few other differences between the two bike that i have missed if you visit the Triumph web site you can find specs for both bikes"

really the only difference between the 675r and the reg 675 is this

quick shifter(that isnt all that great from what ive heard)
different series brembos, BOTH 675 and 675r have brembos. both monoblock
some pretty little carbon bits that do nothing for performance.
ohlins suspension, yes its ohlins bits,BUT, not top shelf ohlins bits, there are different levels in goodies inside the ohlins stuff.
dont know about the gp shift or not. standard does NOT.
steel brake lines come standard on both.
    gear indicator, standard on both.

what i wish they had was a miles left before you run out option on the gas deal. all they have a low fuel light.

and yes i have heard about the bad reviews, and for every bad one there is a good one, hell if you close your eyes and listen to whats said, its pretty much EXACTLY what they said about the 675 when it first came out. they have already come out with an updated fuel map gfor those F3s that have already been delivered. it was somehting about snatchy throttle under4k, so what dont run under 4k problem sloved.
you should ride my track bike, its snatchy EVERYWHERE.

the other knock about the f3 that ive heard if that the tranny is "clunky" (which by the way they said the same thing about the 675) REMEMBER its brand new, they bikes they were riding were test bikes, and were pretty much not even broke in.

That 675 is a damn nice bike. I love the sound of those triples.

Don't think about it. Just get it.

Came across this video earlier. He covers the differences a little later in the vid.

Here is the quick shifter in action.

Doesn't seem like enough carbon fiber to save 11 pounds of weight but every pound counts.

I rode EUROCYCLES new 2012 DUCATI 848 EVO demo bike with full termi exhaust they other day. I brought in my Monster for some mods/recall and I took the 848 for 24 hrs. It had 11 miles on it when I took it and over 200 when I brought her back. I loved every friggin mile. What a great bike! And oh so smooth with the termis on it. It ran great!

Took it to dinner and QS&L this past wednesday. I'm looking foward to my rear wheel recall so I can take the 848 again. lol. I liked it so much I might add a red one to the stable when my truck is paid off.
