Been taking out the bike a lot the last few days instead of the car with all the great weather... I got home last night only to realize that somehow my debit card, drivers license and my BRAND NEW CELL PHONE of 3 days that was in my front pocket and clipped to me all disappeared somewhere between Clearwater and my house. Its could care less about the debit card and license *i'll be late to work getting them replaced today... but Verizon is going to charge me full price for a new phone... and its $250!! I rode Fri and Sat with the phone inside my pocket the same way and it was completely secure! My pockets in my jacket were already full of other stuff... but i guess from now on NOTHING goes in my pockets...

I know this may sound stupid..but did you try calling your phone to see if someone might answer it. Sorry about your luck..I lost my credit card/ drivers license also in one of my trips. Someone found my dl and turned it in to the police..the cc I had to cancel.

I put my phone in my jacket too, but they have zippers so I close them up, just in case that might happen.

I did try calling the phone... no one picked up... I also did try ebay. I have no clue what the point of ebay is though... because I found the phone for $10 cheaper than what verizon retails it for... so it seems just safer to get it straight from verizon! I'm just fuming over the fact that i didnt do a typical "doris" and just lose it.... it literally fell right out of my pocket!

Sorry to hear that. Call verizon and beg them for some help, they just might give you a discount. If not tell them not to charge you for the days you don't use it.

Chica, remember this...The pocket is not a good place for the phone. If you go down (heavens forbid) you will not only more than likely crush it but crush it against your pelvis (ouch). Its better protected (as well as you) in your jacket pocket where your more likely to roll over it than smash on it.

I work for Verizon
Not Verizon Wireless.

I don't even get a discount from them.

Verizon On-line is dif too. the only the thing the three companies have in common is the name and the stock.

call verizon and tell them you would like to purchase the insurance plan for the phone...since you just bought it, you SHOULD be able to add the plan still.

If you can deal without a phone...wait a week or so and call them saying your phone was lost.

new phone for CHEAP.

BTW - I carry my phone and pager that (I'n the pocket on the leg of my jeans).

I take 2 safty pins and attachthem so they hold the clip down. I have never had a problem with it.

Guess what you guys!! My mom called me! Some wonderful wonderful lady found my phone and called my mom! She said she figured it was a girls phone because of the screensaver but all the motorcycle stuff threw her off!! She was even nice enough to call Verizon!! She said its in great shape and she is saving it for me to pick up!
Looks like there are nice people in this world after all!! I will NEVER leave it in my jeans pocket while riding again! I had always put my cell in my jacket pocket but they were SOO full of stuff I thought they were going to burst! Next time i'll pack the trunk to the gills before putting anything in my jeans pockets!
