    How to make Kids Kawasaki 2008 50cc atv faster

    I tried adjusting the the little turn screw on carb,but all that did is make it idle high and pretty much move by itself with out your thumb on the gas. Is there another way? my son is getting pretty bored of it.

    Check the throttle stop, and the slide stop on the carb

    messing with the idle or fuel screw will not make it faster. you will only make it run worse.

    50cc are very hard to get horsepower out of, but there are a few things you can do. first make it breath easier. if the air filter is in the air box, get a open element filter. it will make it breather easier, but you have to watch when its wet out, water will saturate the filter.

    you can also adjust the main jet a little if it is running lean or rich. this will not help with that much performance, but it will make it run a little better.

    adjusting sprockets can help get more of a hole shot, but you will sacrifice top end, or vice verse.

    lastly, find a 60cc jug and piston and make it a 60cc. i am sure there are kits out there to make this happen. if you go 60cc or larger you will need to adjust the jetting for the newer air flow.

    if its a Kawi I think you can lighten it by drilling hole in the frame.

    I think the issue is the throttle stop on the grip housing. My son has a 50cc polaris and it goes pretty good with me on it. It will wheely and its automatic so they have pep but no not moch power. Check the throttle really good. Ours also had a electronic gimmick we removed and it opened up fine. Check the internetz someone knows

    I know on a couple of our bikes, we removed the screw in the throttle tube. also our PW50 had a restrictor in the exhaust.

    in his case, i would imagine his boy may be getting bored on the smaller bike.

    yea could be. The Polaris had an electrical conector that bridged a resister and that let it rev a bit more. I need to sell that thing. collecting dust
