New tampa flyover?

i was reading New Tampas wiki page and saw this: and the construction of the highly debated East-West Connector Road to connect New Tampa directly to I-275 south (to be located north of Livingston Ave Bridge and the Bearss Ave Exit).

does that mean there will be a flyover in new tampa that surpasses i75 and connects directly the 275 which goes right to bradon?


if so any idea when this will be done?

ah was hoping someone here might of had the inside scoop, im not worried about my commute to school as it was, being it was listed as 20 minutes on googlemaps, but that would really make things a breeze.

your commute to school will not be bad at all. depending on the time of day, the traffic lights thru new tampa can be a hassle, but if you take SR 56 to 75, you can bypass that.

i figured id just toy with the routes until i found something i like.........just signed the rental agreement last night and put down the deposit!

my husband works in brandon and he goes in between taking BBD and SR56 depending on the traffic. congrats!

I try and avid that area, the traffic up there SUCKS!
With the economy and tax shortfall, I doubt it will happen any time soon.

BBD used to be bad. Having the I-75 exit there in the middle did loosen things up a bit.
If you're going to USF.... depends on the time you are going to and from class.
BBD is only two lanes in each direction. Being on the gas versus the brake all depends on your timing. You'll see what I mean when you get here.

morris bridge to 75 is an option depending where you live...

Since I read that you're going to HCC.
One way to do it is:
1. BBD to Countyline to Livingston,than Sinclair hills to Nebraska to 275 go south to HCC.
(bypasses BBD traffic)
2.BBD to 1-75,to I-4,to 275 to HCC. (all highway, no lights)

the campus of HCC that i went to to have exams proctored was right off of 75 and 60 in brandon

i still live in the NT area .... regardless of the economy (for the most part ... too much $$ in NT) ... it will happen ... just not as fast as most people want ... the new exit onto 75 from BBD was pushed by $$ from NT .... most felt that would relieve the most traffic, in the shortest amount of time, especially with all the hoop jumping that the "connector" will have ..... at one time there was talk of connecting the end of NT BLVD ... over 75 ..... to 275
but that would have to include the widening of NT BLVD ... which is a hang up right now .... thats one reason they widened CROSS CREEK first ....

Not sure where the hcc brandon campus is ,but straight shot from BBD, to 75, to brandon.
Tampabusa. My sister used to live in NT, (off of Regency Park,by the super walmart)...the 25min trek, to travel 6 miles was too much for me from Bearss Ave.....75 has helped emencely. That meadow pointe extension to 54, at least it gets me to Wasntme's house without redlights. They're supposed to do something with the Livingston overpass. Know anything about that?? Curious. Any back way route would be perfect. Anything to avoid that Livingston/Bears/BBD cluster f**k of an intersection,and avoiding that "Senior zone" on Fletcher.... would be awesome.

I thought I read somewhere in Pasco paper that the fly over was supposed to be on the other side of Cross Creek Blvd. +1 on the $$ pushing it back. I am waiting on the 56 connector thur MP. This way I don't have to wind my way around MP. But so much has been said with the widening of BBD, 56, and 54 with little money its going to be sometime before we see it!!!
