It's time to bring my SV in for the 600 mile service. The closest is Tampa Motorsport. How is this place? TIA

Eh, I'd do it myself if I was you.
They replaced my K&N air filter with an OEM version.
They took months to correct a wiring problem because they wanted to sell me a new undertail.
I haven't been to that place for a loooong time. Will be even longer before I go back.
Maybe it's different now, but I'm not gonna chance it.
Haven't gone there in years, they lost my business do to their staff (at the time) being arrogant. Talk to MOKE he has been in the mechanical side of the industry and might be able to recommend someone.

“I guess it's because we all want to believe that what we do is very important, that people hang on to our every word, that they care what we think. The truth is, you should consider yourself lucky if you even occasionally get to make someone - anyone - feel a little better. After that, it's all about the people that you've let into your life.”— J.D.
I bought my bike from there. When I purchased the bike I told them I wanted everything they offered for the bike. ( Warranty, PPM, %yr Wheel and Tire, Gap )
They were in such a hurry to make a sale, they didnt give me my gap insurance. Now monday i totalled my bike out, and after insurance does what they do I am going to owe 3 - 4k on the loan.
When I go in there for service, they do a half ass job. Last time I was in there, I loosened my bolts on the tank cover, because they change the air filter. When I got it home, they did not change the airfilter because the bolts were right where i left them.
I would do it yourself.

Well, guess things haven't changed much, lol.
Go to PA, somebody there will help you out. Oh yah and service is free there. Just pay for filter and oil.
never been there, but I've heard nothing but bad things about their staff and service.

I only go there because I bought the prepaid maint plan and I HATE them. They are by far the worst bike shop I have ever been to along with RTM right down the street from them. Every single time we go in there it is a hassle and of course "they are right and were always wrong".
You could try Pasco County Cycles, a site sponsor, they did my 600 mile service on my GSXR and did a great job, great price, and got me in and out
Oh Look another SAE!!!!

I bought a bike there a while back, but I haven't done any other services there. I really don't have negative or positive to say about them. They do have "free" popcorn though!
I bought my bike there- and got the deal I got because I walked in and said that there was only one way that I was buying a bike- and meant it.
The service is not worth getting done there- Go the PA and you'll get the stuff taken care of and learn a few things too.

Griff, I want to give P.C.C. a try, called to get a qoute on tires and was put on hold for a long time. They are minutes from my house but want to know the deal with them before I go there. P.A. gave me a quick response on tires and stuff but don't know the crew and kinda far for me at this moment not trying to give excuses but want a place that will work on my bike correctly, efficently, etc.. etc..... so for the jump in on this thread!!!
from what ive heard i wouldnt give them a chance in hell........ just from this post there are more then five complaints, so **** them...... go to frank at PA he is a great guy and you will have a great time working on your bike with some guidence and help form the great staff there........ and as a added bonus you will learn a few things bout your bike. also it will cost ya half as much doing the service at PA cause ya would get charged an arm and leg for friggin shop labor.if you go to pcc you are a fool. also pa may be a little far for ya but what the hell its a RIDE and that what we love to do right?????????????
+1!!! The trip will not bother me but I will have to get the wifey to bring tires, parts, etc..... for the shop to work on. I hear all these great things at PA but I have not been introduced to any of the crew (partly my fault) but when I called for info, prices staff was very quick and efficent. But this will be the first major(minor) service I will need. But been doing all my oil changes etc.... myself. Just need new clutch lever on and tire(s)!!!! thanks for the heads up.
BTW: Tampa Motorsports is where I bought my bike. The service department is a joke. I dealt with Charley when I bought my bike but the rest of the staff is just straight stuck the fawk up!!!! Only go there to buy oil and filter only cause its on my way home!!!! just my .02!!!
You'll LOVE PA. I've been meaning to go up that way again myself to say hi to the guys, and eventually change a tire or two.
Moving up. Slowly.
boredom is the mother of all bad ideas.
Also if you go to PA you can cash in on the "free reach around" from sideshow... Im sure he'll be there
