    Rider Down Dunedin

I was coming home at about 10 oclock tonight going north on Belcher Road just past Main Street and there was a bunch of cop cars and crime scene tape surrounding what looked like a black CBR. I'm not exactly sure if it was a CBR or something else though, but it was definitely a sport bike. It was in the south bound lane. There were pieces all over the road. It looked as though it slid for about 30 feet. There was a surveyor there standing with one of those tools near the bike and a cop standing by the first piece. It seemed as if they were measuring the distance the bike may have slid. I came upon the scene well after the accident was over, as there were not any people standing around the scene other than the cops and the surveyor. I looked up the active calls list on the Pinellas County Sheriff website and it lists Crash/Dead Person on Belcher/Evans at 8 oclock. R.I.P.

That was my friend Dennis. He hit a curb. Thats all i know as of right now.

Most of you would know him from working at Cycle Springs. He was a mechanic there.

He was a GREAT guy, and an awesome friend. Always there to put a smile on your face.

Ill post up any more info as i get it

    Clearwater motorcyclist killed
DUNEDIN -- A Clearwater man was killed after witnesses told investigators he sped through a Dunedin intersection on the back wheel of his motorcycle.

Joseph Krone, 26, was traveling south on Belcher Road "at a high rate of speed" just before 8 p.m. Wednesday through the Andrews Court intersection, investigators said.

Witnesses told Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies Krone was driving on the back wheel of his motorcycle when he lost control and struck a curb. Authorities said Krone and the motorcycle skidded through a grass median, finally coming to a rest one block away at Evans Road.

Krone was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:37 p.m.

Damn. I talked with him a few weeks ago when we dropped off the Bandit. He seemed like a really nice guy.

    Ride in Peace, Dennis.
Prayers to his family and friends.

I'm confused. Everyone here keeps saying his name is Dennis but the article says Joseph. Anyways, I thought it was weird when I saw the scene and I didn't see a car or anything else. I wonder if he was wearing gear. Keep the wheelies off the streets guys, their dangerous.

Some people use their middle name instead of their first name. Many were confused when Darren died since the papers kept using his first name of John.
