I use to work at Peter Glenn and sold a lot of this shit to harley riders. The other thing the guy is talking about is probably Turtle fur. You can go ot Bill Jacksons and probaly find it cheaper than Frank Thomas charges

I've got a couple of these, basically a tube that goes around your neck, for when it cools off.

Does anyone know a good local strip to top out on, few cars, lit up, less bumps than the Howard Frankland.....oh yeah, to relate, I used my turtle fur last night & this morning....those are great....but I still think they should make an exhaust powered heat suit!

how thick is the balaclava? how much difference does it make on your helmet fitting?

Jlea
11-08-2007, 10:22 AM
to me---it felt pretty thin....how much a difference with the helmet...i'll let Tony answer ya later

the turtle neck was a lot thicker than the balaclava! and kinda hard to keep in place while putting the helmet on (that's my only complaint) other than that it kept my nose, chin, and neck VERY warm!

Not nearly as much as that mop of yours, ya friggin' fruit!

Just kidding man, I couldn't resist. I use just the neck thing when it gets "cold," doesn't interfere with the helmet fit or fog my shield up.

Another option is the "head gaiter" it's also a tube that fits over your neck up to your ears or you can wear it over your head. The balaclava is too thick for me in my helmet. Dennis Kirk has a ton of winter stuff. I bought a white silk aviator scarf like the Red Baron's or Snoopy's on ebay. I can't wait to try it out...lol
