View Full Version : Concerning January Calendar

I am challenging the members to find other spots for January to meet besides WingHouse & Hooters. I know there has to be good restaurants in someone's area that has a good atmosphere, food, entertainment etc.

I'm suggesting Cheddar's. Good food, liquor & inexpensive. They have a nice outside section also if the weather is right. BTW excellent parking for bikes right up front on the sidewalk.

So who else has a suggestion for a place?

2001, Mons, Pink Pony????

J\K. My area would be probably too far for everyone to travel.

If enough people say they will travel to NPR, Land O lakes area I can find something. We have a lot of really good places to hang out and eat.

Pete and Shorty's in Clearwater, on 60 next to the original Hooters.

There used to be one on Dale Mabry also, but that one closed. The few times I went there it was pretty good.

St Petersburg pier has couple of Restaurants and nice scenery. I went to the restaurant on top level while back which has nice casual atmosphere and decent food. Bikes can be parked in one of the secured parking lots or right in front of the pier.

I feel Wednesday's were picked to break up the work week for everyone.
However, I'm game for a Friday meet now & then.
I'll ride anywhere within reason during weeknights.
January Calendar is empty.
Let's "Get'R'done."

I think she meant besides the Wed meets. Not just once a month.

Or why don't we rotate a differnet day of the week each week and then have a meet up on Fr/Sat once or twice a month.

Ok, then let's start on working for some new places, start listing places in this thread. And we can also look to do a once a month fri or sat meet for lunch and maybe a nice casual cruise before or after.

You like that place? They charge extra for fries if you order a burger (WTF!) and everything comes with plasticware. I put it right up there next to Chucky Cheese.

As for the montly ride I have an idea. There is a pretty good BBQ place on 41 just north of 54 in Land O Lakes. It is called Hungry Harry's (http://www.hungryharrysfamousbbq.com/). We can meet there and then ride north. I have driven by there many times and have seen sportbikes there. I am just going to throw out a date and time and see what happens. Saturday January 28th @ 11:30

I guess I never really saw it that way, I like the sauces they have, it is probably how they distract people on how tiny the wings are. The whole nickel and diming with the sauce is rediculous. :banghead:

How about a place that is off the beaten path...a place that has to be ridden to and not a jaunt on the interstate? Maybe Hungry Harry's BBQ on 41. If we do a weekend thing there is Shamrocks ....now that is a nice ride and good burgers. Ofcourse since it farther then 15 minutes from home CBRgirl would not be able to attend but at least she could read about it. hahahaha

I see all this stuff posted for places in Pinellas. I do recall several brave souls and one wuss in a pick up truck but will not talk about him...trekking through the freezing cold, snow, and sleet to have a meet in Pinellas only to see three of our brotheran. You guys afraid of the cold?
