There is entrance to croom on the other side of the interstate. I go mountainbiking outhere. Supposedly you can ride dirtbikes out there also. It is pretty flat and fast and its a 52 mile loop with a shorter 35 and 16 mile loops also.

I like it, I drop a lot when we go through the sand, and its hard to restart, but I still have fun. Jay's looking to get a 4 wheeler for riding slower with me and my daughter, the KTM does not like to go slow.

I was there yesterday on my mountain bike. After riding my bike I drove my truck on the Fire Roads, pretty good F.R.'s. Lots of turns and sand made for some fun driving also some pits/sinkholes to play around in. I would imagine this is where you would hear bikes legally riding.

At this point she is still so nervous she rides for 5-10 min then has to stop till her tumyy calms down.,

We have 2 little ones that I taught in the kids section. They have a nice kids section by the camp ground. I'll be spending some time with my son in there.
We can make it lots of fun for her!
Boy is 8 years old.
Girl is 10 years old.

I'll also be teaching sideshow how to ride his little kids ATV! :)

You can bring her over to my house anytime to let her learn. We have almost 3 acres and we took the quads out back and made some trails. Just let me know when you want to come out.

PS....Not all of Croom is that bad. People are more cautious than given credit, but there are the exceptions. We go sometimes and rarely see more than 3 or 4 other quads in the areas we ride in. We stay WAY in the back and away from the action that happens up front. If we get the urge to play in the pits up front, we ride up and play but it gets old fast and we head right back to where its much less populated. =)

Well, since it doesnt get dark till 8 something, you should be fine. Just come over earlier. Then when the sun goes down you can ride one of the quads. They have headlights. lol Or you can strap a spot light to the dirt bike! lmfao!

There's no fence. You just have to find a trail that goes north!
If you saw a fence (that wasn't on the perimeter), it may be this little piece of private property that sits in the middle.

PS. Yo Jarhead..............the kids area is 12 and under. Your little one will be fine. The Ranger checks in there all the time too, keepin' tabs on everyone. When you go in the trails, put her in between you and mom. The kids love it up there. Mine whines everytime We leave. Alot like me when it's time to pack it in at JGP. lol:spacer: :occasion1

Motorcycles and quads are restricted for use only in the motorcycle park.

There is an enduro held each year in the bicycle/hiking/horse section for motorcycles with limited numbers.

There are still public roads in the other section where you can ride legal dual sport bikes with tags and lights on the fire and jeep roads. To sandy for any regular steet bikes.

Its my plan to go up thursday night, I usually pay for a night or two extra, but its worth it.

If any of you are camping get me a check for the camping fees and a easy little pop-up tent and I will try and I get a spot set up you if you like!

If i were you I would ride out to ranchos one weekend and look around.....ranchos is on old cr54 , turn east from us301 and go down couple miles you will see it on the right with some concrete on both sides of the entrance.....everyone rides out there and nothing is ever checked...if i stole 2 quads this is where i would ride them...if you need better directions or anything just PM me

Thanks for all the advice! I have my cousins looking out at Rancho whenever they go out. The go there almost every weekend. It sucks b/c I had current Croom stickers too! So if yall are out there keep a look out for a Blue Yamaha Blaster 200 2-stroke (2002) with slightly bent handlebars. The yellow Suzuki 250 (2005) has a black cooler rack and black nerf bars with foot baskets. It also has the yellow hand guards on the handlebars. I am so pissed about this! What really sucks is I think it was done by some locals. My hubby tracked where they pushed them across the backyard and then cut the ignitions and started them and rode them down the ditch and out on to the highway. We found what road they went down but then we lost the tracks. They will slip up and ride one day and when they do, God help them b/c my husband is PISSED!!
