View Full Version : Decided To Do It!!!!!!!!
Well I DID decide to do it!
A big thanks to my fellow SV 650 rider, "650 Kid", for hookin' me up with your boy.
I just bought a '99 Yamaha R6 stunt bike, completely decked out with 64 tooth rear sprocket, crash cage, heavily used 12 bar, dented in tank, as well as a few other things that I'm having trouble naming. The bike was actually in this past 2007 Stuntwars competition. If you're wondering why you don't recognized it, it's probably because it did not make it to the finals on Sunday.
Now the big question that is probably on everyone's mind is, "Does he even know how to wheelie?". Well, the answer is no. But I'm learning though. I have been trying on my SV, but it lacks the stamina, plus it's only 6 months old. Also the fact that I've almost looped it twice scares the sh*t outta me. (that's what I've been telling myself, it makes me feel better) Plus, don't expect to see me at stuntwars or anything. I've got a lot of learnin' (chrashin') to do. Anyone have a "How To Wheelie" video?
Haven't been home since I've purchased it, so as soon as I get to my computer, I'll throw some pics up on the site. Keep in mind this is not the purttiest bike, but that's exactly what I was looking for...a bike I'm not worried about dropping.
So, now that I've got my new toy, I'll be putting the SV up for sale. So if anyone is interested, PM me.

umm u should take that pipe off and sell it, then buy a used can to put on there, something short so u dont damage it or have it get in the way and mess up weight distribution. Also im sure u can get enough for the exhaust that u can get another one and also buy a street fighter head light set so the bike can be street legal, that way u dont have to haul it around to lots and crap on a truck bed all the time.

Excellent!!!
Be careful on that thing, Mel.
Congrats. I would keep the the SV to go on rides, you don't want to ride that thing on N>runs and stuff like that. Brings alot of attention from the popo.
I have 2 wheelie videos I got as a gag gift, but are actually pretty good. PM me.

Congrats on your bike purchase
Thanks to everyone. And don't worry, no squidivities here. The bike's not even street legal. So trailer, or truckin' it is. Small price to pay for the fun I'll have. As soon as I get a trick nalied down, I'll post pics. It might be a while though.

looks good. but for me the pics are too dark.
NIce, remember to wear your gear. I have had friends get more hurt doing slow stuff than riding the street.

Yeah, I've already got plans to get a chest/spine protector, as well as elbow and knee pads. I've seen some pretty nasty falls myself. I'll wait till I get all that before I get more ballsy. It's soooooo nnniiiiccceee knowing that if you drop it, it's no big deal.

That could be a bad thing too, because you may push yourself to fast knowing the bike can get dinged no problem but you start to forget about your safety...Wear as much protection as you can anytime your on that thing

I know this is a dangerous new hobby, I've seen the videos. But I feel that a crash at 20mph and below will be better than a crash at 60-80 plus mph. But thanks for the advise. Any advise is better than no advise.

Yeah, thanks again. I've realized there a lot of cool people here.
Was out today practicing on my street and pissed off the neighbors. Funny...I thought it would at least take a week. I definitely need to find a spot and trailer it.
Did you ever get the lowers(fairing) for your bike? Your avatar has it. Just wondering. When I sell my bike, I might have the lowers available if the buyer doesn't want them. I keep you posted.

DUDE CONGRATS
let me play on it
RedlineJimmy: That sounds like a perfect trade off. Free lessons in exchange for a free ride, I'm game. We'll set that up later. Weekends are the only time I got though.
Fiction: Dude, you know you're welcome anytime. Plus I've never seen you wheelie.
MR: Awe hell, as long as you wear that lit'l get up, you can come to.:gay:
