Man if I had a paint booth I could turn out some nice stuff. Painted my solo seat cowl I got from Arsenal. LOOKS AWESOME, except friggin little dusties in the air got in it.Oh well, 2 estimates I got today were around 550 to have it done. The paint, clear, reducer and hardener altogether was 96 bucks. took me an hour of final prep, 2 hours of paint and clear time. now a few days of cure and its done. I did black on the inside, but may redo it in red as well. I used an ultra fine mist, and laid 21 fine coats of paint, cleared it with 2 mist coats, 1 medium, then 3 full coats. Looks good. Thanks again Sideshow and Arsenal

i wish. it will do for now. Ill get the bike painted after we sell the house, so it can be corrected then along with a new undertail and new plastics. im not too good at fixing boo boos, so i try for perfection (i just cant ever get it). Im happy with it.

ty guys. i have it on the bike now, its an exact match, except you can tell the cowl is "new" paint. im glad im not color blind. its called Torch Red. again im pleased, no orange peel, no fisheye, no runs. My dad has a degree in autobody, and he taught me alot. he just never taught me prep work (which I despise) so im still learning the hard way. this one turned out nice :) rear hugger is on its way

you dont need a paint booth, you just need an ez up with the side walls.
