Hey everyone i just wanted to say please be carefull on the Veterans Expwy Going towards the clearwater exit.....I cannot Express enough when the speed limit sign says 40 they mean it...there is some major changes there....This happens to be the Exact spot my B/F and i went down...I was headed to the lot tonight and there was another Motorcyle Accident in the same spot...the guy hit the same wall...Also there was an accident on Causeway..(i dont know names) And my friend Cory went down tonight also...I have been in the ER all night with him and will be going back to the Er in a few hours to visit my B/F..My friend cory Fractured something in his Neck....Im not sure what i dont understand Dr Languege....But i have heard several other bikers complain of this very same spot on veterans!!! I CANNOT STRESS IT 40 MPH PLEASE And if possible stay out of the right lane ALOT OF DEBRI!!! You can also go to TampaGov.net And go to online services then traffic and crash reports type in 2006 and then type Eisenhower or Veterans better yet do both...you will see the amount of accidents in this exact spot....The Dec. 3 2006 Crash was mine and brandons..PLEASE BE CAREFULL!!!! Nobody wants to lose another loved one or visit any injured friends! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

i used to drive that way to work but go 275 now because the vets is so backed up even at 6:30AM. we went that way the other day and the new curve surprised me in the car. it's very deceptive and there is no warning as it is just after the rise over memorial (southbound).

when they get done with both phases that area should have some smooth-flowing traffic, but now it's just complicating the already dismal traffic issues.

Yes it is.......I have talked to MANY who have said the same thing..most people when i told them we wrecked on veterans they knew exactly where befor i told them......Just crazy so far i know of 3 bike accident sthere and then that crash website theres several more accidents.......Does anyone know if theres any number to call to have more signs posted or anything to avoid this from happening?????

It has nothing to do with a squid ive talked to several people on here who dont consider themselves as squids and they have said the same thing....I swear i made this post to warn people to be cautios....You guys all act like you dont ride for the adrenaline and fun..Granted theres a time and a place forverrything..but our accident happened late at night where theres no cars on the road and what used to be a straightaway..it was a mistake it had nothing to do with being a squid or experience...It was an accident....Even the NON SQUIDS have accidents....Thats all riding its not if you go down its when....Ive rode 5 years now accident free.....And this accident clearley states in the accident report i hit his debree......Also had a huge construction nail in my tire......Anyways before i start up a whole new bag of SH*T Here on TSB I will get back to the reason i posted this.......BE CAREFULL Just a warning! Too bad you read this post and didnt get to go for a ride down veterans to learn for yourself like several other have!!!
