Hey anybody, ( probably Griff ;) ) is it possible to I.M. when any of us are on at the same time?
'cuz sometimes I think of fashizle, and see that some of you are logged in, and I could like, just I.M. ya instead of posting dumbass questions like this so everyone sees that I am still a little wetowdid on my 'puter. :(

Yes, on here they are called PM's and all you need to do is click on the persons user name, and in the left hand column you will see "Send Private Message"
Just click on that and you can send your message.
Or if you go into UserCP, there is an option on the left hand column as well to send private message, but that way you have to type in the users name.
Hope this helps....

Hey Griff, I tried that ( the P.M. link is in the right column on my puter.??, but it is just like sending an e-mail.

Well yes and no. Yes in the sense that if you send it and the other person doesn't read it right away then it is like email. But if the person is online and notices that they have a PM then it will work. If you are looking for something like AIM or Yahoo Messeger, then you will see a spot in your profile for that, and if other uses put that in their profile as well it will show in their profile bar, then you can try to use that. But as far as this software having a REAL TIME instant messenger then the answer is no... Sorry.

Griff he is speaking more in terms of a Yahoo Instant Messenger along those lines, where it can be a constant conversation without taking up bandwidth.
Maybe we should just have a thread with yahoo, msn, aol or whatever messaging device you have, user names..
There is a program called Trillian
http://www.trillian-free.com/index.asp?kw=trillian&source=go2-trillian03
It connects all the Messangers..Its a single program that you can just put each of your different messager logins into.
I don't believe you can add an I.M to a web forum if you can then maybe VBulletin support can tell you how
Hope this is helpful

Thanks Slo, I realized that last night. What I was referring to is that if a member would like to list their Instant Messenging Id's in their profile they can, and when you see a users post it looks like this:

This way, if you see the Green dot next to the person's name, (which means they are online) and yoiu see those icons in their address bar, you can try to IM them thru those programs they uses. But they have to be logged into their AIM or Yahoo accounts.
Hope this helps.

Oh I am not trying to figure it out, what I am trying to figure out is how confused a person's mind has to be to come up with that in the first place :D

Well, when you realized that Griff realized it realized realizing was really revealing..... Then realistically, you realized reality!!! :D
HIJACKED BACK !!!
Oh and thanks to both of you for taking an un-realistically really long way to answer my question! :D
Next time a simple NO will suffice ;)
