I heard that the PP will let go with no warning.
After that kind of happened to you are you at all thinking of going with a new tire?

Don't think he was running PP at the time...about positive he was running PRs (race tires).

Ah... Still I have heard alot of people make that claim about PPs and looking for some more feed back from those I know fairly well.

I dunno...never had an issue with them on the street at all.
as far as the track goes, I never had a problem with them until i overheated them and they got greasy on me. Even then, the tires didnt just give out on me or anything like that. Within 2 sessions time, I had the rear spin a little on me about 3 times under acceleration while leaned over pretty far.
Never really heard of anybody complaining that they "just go". from what I experienced, and from what others have told me, the tires will spin/slide to let you know that they are on the brink...at that point, its time to get them off the bike.

There has actually been alot of that mentioned on here that's one of the reasons I ask.
I never used PPs so I can only go be what I read or hear.
I can say the The bridgestone BatLax will just go on you those things suck a$$ and will slip a LOT under very little force. Not something I want to go back to. I'm happy with M3s I'm running now but will trying Perelli Diablo shortly and may try a few other too. So I'm looking for feed back.

Those battlax tires suck...chalk that one up to bridgestone though, Michelin doesnt make em. In any case, they are a VERY hard compound and last literally 10s of thousands of miles.
I've ran the Metzler M3s in the past and the PPs on the same bike immediately after. From what I could see, the Metzlers had a slightly faster turn in, but the PPs just seemed to be planted a bit better while cornering. Not sure if that's the compound, or a bigger contact patch...havent really researched it that much. Both tires definately provided more grip than I could use on the street (never ran M3s on the track). The only significant difference that I noticed was while the M3s lasted me about 5-6k on my 600, the PPs lasted nearly 9k miles.

I was running Power Race Soft rear which is not the straight race carcus and a PRC front which is.
I had it leaned over too much and was just too fast for T8.
It wouldnt have mattered what brand of tire I was running I was going down no matter what.
Im switching to to the PR series which is a straight race carcus so I should be able to GET GIGGY....
I cant wait and it will also be a 180/55.
I did feel it let go but it was too late.
I have spun up the rear and they were nice and controlled.
I can feel when the front pushes or the rear slides.
Though the rear sliding feeling could also just be the suspension compressing.
Run the wrong PSI it wont matter what tire your on you will slide and push all day long.
To a certain point I wouldnt trust what people post.
You dont know their skill level they could just suck. Their bike might not be set up correctly.
They could have just switched from one brand to another and not set the suspension to compensate for different tire shape. They could be running wrong PSI.
It could be any number of things.
Take Shorty and Moke for example.
Shorty doesnt like Dunlops and Moke doesnt like Michelins. But they tried them both
before they came to that conclusion.
Melka doesnt have problems with running Michelins.
But I will say Michelin Perelli and Dunlop are the top 3 MFG's of the best race rubber out there.
and like 4 racers run Bridgestones.........

That's why I look for info from people like you, who I have seen ride and see they can ride or have actualy been on the assfault with them and know that they know what they are doing.
I know plenty of people who talk or post like they know and/or can do any thing and then when you see them ride or wrench they can do maybe 1/3 of what they said,
