Anyone been in the Brass Tap in Trinity? I've driven by it a few times now but it has always been early in the day. Curious how the food is and if they have a decent selection of beers?

Don't think they do food at all. At least the ones I've been to don't. Beer is great though. Lots of choices.

I go to the brass tap in brandon (located in the brandon mall), they don't sell food, but since its in the mall you can order food to come in. Beer selection is pretty good.

Too bad they don't sell food. I don't like to drink without eating anymore. Maybe I'll stop in and check out the beer selection.

Thanks for the replies.

Actually, their selection isn't that big or super special. If you're looking for a decent craft beer in the mall, fine, but I stopped at the Brandon location for the first time yesterday and definitely won't be going out of my way to hit them up in the future. Plenty of places with a good beer selection around Tampa, dunno about over there in NPR.

I live within walking distance, I've been there a few times. Of course it isn't $3 beers. They have quite a selection. Visit their website for all info.

Huh??? What beer do you drink? They have a ton of beers and they are pretty damn good. They aren't Bud Light beers but then would you go to the Brass Tap for Bud Light?

Start the man off with a St. Bernardus, it should only gets better after that.

For you guys in the brandon area that appreciate good beers/wines/spirits, hit up Kingdom Liquors off of providence rd. It is a real nice shop, not a run down place with cheap drinks. No bud light, not much "bottom shelf" items, can be pricey, many imports, and the owner is really cool.

Certainly not butt light. I believe it's been decades since that product has occupied my hand, even for a second.

Their selection is ok, but there are better options, some with more beers, and interesting micro brands, with food, that aren't at a suburban shopping mall. The soccer parent crowd next to us had an actual kiddie table going. Pathetic.

As for dining establishments with equal or better selections, and food:

Dunderbaks
New World Brewery (ok, not so much on food, but indie music counts)
James Joyce
Taps
The Pub (mall, but I'll cut them some slack as there wasn't a kids table when I was there :P)
Mellow Mushroom (bottles mostly, but for a pizza joint, not bad)
Datz
