I need individual and corporate sponsors to get to the next AMA race at Road Atlanta.
I'm already entered!!!
Asking all TSB friends, family, product & service companies:
We need funding to help make this race a success.
No donation too small or too large but we are asking for a minimum of $20.
Ask your boss to maybe throw in $100.00-$500.00 or more if possible.
We will do everything we can to promote their product or service.
Formal corporate sponsor request package available upon request.
Please help us make this event
Pay pal to donny.wright68@yahoo.com
Thank you

I emptied my wallet into your jug at QSL last Wednesday. If I had spare cash I would wholly sponsor you. Nothing like a homegrown team in the AMA ranks. I wish you great success and luck as one needs both to succeed sometimes.

this might sound like a silly question, but what companies usually sponsos a race bike/team?

Any company is what we are looking for
A company that wants to put their name, logo, product in front of thousands of people
The usual race team sponsors are already taken

Yes, but the question was more directed at which types of companies are most likely to sponsor a race bike/team? It wasn't so much how or why, but more specifically what is the attraction? i work for a well-established car dealership in the area, but I could not personally see the cost/benefit advantage of sponsoring bike racing in another state. My company is local, and therefor more likely to invest in local events/sports. i know that they have a box for the major teams in the area, and I believe they sponsor many local youth teams. But to invest in a race team that races out of their target market doesnt seem to make fiscal sense. In no way am I mitigating the fact that there are numerous viable sponsors for you Donny, and i wish you the best of luck. I am more just curious about what types of businesses are likely to invest in a product or advertising source that isnt local to them.

thread suck here, posted the first post on the main page, and linked back to this thread. A nice pretty pic would be great, personally i would say Donny running over the competition, but i dont think that will help the cause...

That is the million dollar question, I wish we had the answer. Unfortunately what you stated above is correct. Most riders' sponsors are all or mostly product sponsors, like Dunlop, Arai, GoPro, etc, since they have a national market. IPossibly a national franchise with a local franchise would be interested? We do have some formal sponsor requests out there to a couple of companies, one of the big ones is a stop-smoking product company.
After thought: the National Guard sponsored both riders and a whole race at Daytona :)
