Motorcyclist Killed In Crash

PALM RIVER - A Tampa man died Wednesday night after a car pulled into the path of his motorcycle, Hillsborough County sheriff’s spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
Jesus Ramos, 21, was headed north on 78th Street on his 1999 Suzuki at about 7:40 p.m., Carter said. The driver of a 2003 Chevrolet got off the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway and veered left onto 78th Street, into Ramos” path, she said. The motorcycle hit the car’s left side.
The Chevrolet driver, John Lane, 71, of Valrico, was not hurt. Ramos was rushed to Tampa General Hospital and died less than an hour later.
No charges have been filed.
