so do you have to buy new ballats? or is this everything you need to hook them up? if you cant tell i have no clue what ballats are

Ballasts are what fire up the HID's... according to the pics everything is there you would need.

Unfortunatly, R1's barely have enough power in the sub harness to get regular lights to fire. I would add a abttery relay to the kit if I were installing these on an R1 especially.

Cause R1s are so awsome they dont need lights.... Idk where my Gucci print is =O(

Yes everything is there, you should always add a relay to the bike when installing H.I.D.'s to be safe.
