You may not take a lot of time thinking about it, but being a motorcycle shop or dealer is an expensive proposition. The guys at Eurocycles host MotoGP viewing on their big screen TV, they host the monthly pancake breakfast, they have their own track days too.
While it's true they sell bikes, it's also true that like everyone else they are in this as a business AND to have as much fun at the same time. The purpose of them DOING all that stuff is so that when you have a need for parts, service or a new bike you'll think of them.
As a way of showing my appreciation I gave the guys at Eurocycles a chance to bid on a bunch of motorcycle parts I need for our upcoming trip to VIR. My rule was this: If they could come within 10-15% of either Cycle Gear or the internet then I'd use Eurocycles instead. Much more than that and I'd have to reconsider - I'm loyal, but not stupid.
I needed parts for my 2001 Yamaha R6 and my 2007 Triumph Daytona 675
Supersprockets kits plus chain for both
Air Filters for both
Oil Filters for both
EBC HH front Brakes for both
Nick called me up with the price and to my surprise it was very competitive. Less than a week later I had all my parts waiting for me at the front desk.
I know we have some great sponsors here - and I try my best to make the rounds with all of them. Still, I don't know that our FIRST thought for parts is Eurocycles (especially if we're looking for non-Euro parts) but give them a chance to compete and I think you'll be pleased.
