Well as some of u know, I went down today on the North Run, but fortunately it wasn't too bad. Bike suffered most of the damage. At first I didn't feel any thing was wrong, but now that it's 12 hrs later. I can feel the strain in my neck and shoulder. Nothing that muscle relaxers can't handle.

Went down about 10 mins into the run due to taking an unfamiliar corner too fast. Damage mainly to both front and back rims, plus right lower fairing cracked but not too bad. No body's fault but my own. But good learning experience.

Thank god I had the gear. I've heard it a 1000 times, "Dress for the crash, not the ride." And boy did that show true today.

Thanks to all the people who showed concern. It helps when people are right there to lend a hand.

As soon as I get the bike fixed, I'll be back out on the road.

Map, sorry to hear about your down. You will probably feel some other aches tomorrow as well. Soaking in the tub or pool does help loosen up the joints. After getting out of the tub, apply some bengay. The muscles are warm from the tub and this helps the bengay to work quicker and better.

When you go to bed tonight, you may want to lay on your back and put a pillow under your shoulder for support. During the day, I'm wearing the stupid sling but it does help me to not unconsciously over do it. This along with percoset and advil and is helping.

If your range of motion is still limited or sore after 4-5 days, you may want to see an ortho.

Good luck and I hope you recover fully! I'm sure we can sweep together on our first rides back!

I am sorry to hear about your mishap. I wish you a speedy recovery on your health and the bike.

If tomorrow however you are sore or your body just isn't feeling right. You might need to go ahead and be checked out by a doctor. Glad you were wearing your gear.

Why not? chrome dont make you faster, all those busa guys with all that chrome just dont know what they are doing to the bike, it adds weight - you are adding more metal on top of already existing metal which makes it heavier,

if your going to spend $$$ then buy some magnesium wheels or carbon fiber and go for less weight,

I've looked on ebay, jennings, and some misc web sites and have nothing. The best I could find on ebay was 1 front, slightly bent, used rims.
If anyone wants to make some money, and knows how to change rims and tires. i'll pay. I had some money left over from when I bought the SV, instead of the Gixxr.

Just lead me in the right directions. The faster it's ready, the happier I'll be.

Found some rims finally. Anyone know someone that paints, or has a paint shop. Or could refer me to a good shop, to get them painted.?
