Me and my girl are starting to look for apartments in the Brandon/Riverview area.. Ideally we are looking in this area because it is close to both of our jobs. Does anyone in this area know about any good apartments? We are trying to not go over $950 a month, and we are looking for a one bedroom. I have been reasearching alot and have seen some that have caught my eye, and Saturday we are going to visit about 6 or 7. If anyone has any experience with nice apartments in the area, please give me your input. Thanks!

$950 can get you a $150,000 mortgage. And $150,000 can buy alot of house right now.

But if you are just wanting to rent, we used to live behind the Publix in Bradon off of Lumsden Blvd in those 2 big complexes right there on Gornto Lake Rd.

Be careful with the Springs properties. I lived in the bradenton property, and know someone who stayed in the riverview one with the same problems. They are generally nice. Great layouts with attached garages, kept up good between tenants, but I had a lot of personal and general property maintenance problems and rent increases monthly. They honored the lease and didn't up my rent, but if I would've renewed I would've been paying over $1000 for my $889 1/1. And the gated entrance worked about a month I lived there, the pool was shut down all summer as well.

I lived in Westbury in Brandon and it was ok to live there. When I got there I was able to get a 2 bedroom apt (1037sqft) and a garage for $890.00 a month. I dont know how much the price has changed since then. I did hate my neighbors that lived above me. They sounded like they had lead shoes on most of the time. I also did not like the fact that people were to damn lazy to open the door to the trash dumpster, but for the most part it was not a bad place to live. It is on Providence, between Bloomingdale and Causeway. So you are close to I75, 301 and 60.

That's true. I have a house in Riverview I'd probably sell for $160,000. Maybe. I dunno. It's not really for sale.

Is your girl hot? Maybe we could work something out.

That is true but we are still young (I am 20 and she is 19) we have been together for 4 years, we just wanna start out with something manageable, and worry about a house when the kids come along.

I can not remember the name to save me right now, but i lived there for a year and it was a nice place. we had a 2/2 with a garage and paid 1050 a month i think? so a 1/1 should be in your range. also when we moved in 2 years ago they were hurting for people bad. so the dealed really nice with us. They paid for movers to move us in. it was nice. Best of all is it feels like your in the middle of nowhere and the ride in and out is pretty fun for onle be 3-4 little turns.
