Anyone use Groupon?

Groupon (http://www.groupon.com/tampa/) is a website where local businesses can post a coupon (usually about 50% off) for different services and places. I've gotten a couple of coupons for different restaurants which promise to be interesting.

Sooo..... I was wondering if anyone here did it and if so we can do a groupon ride or something....

I've signed up for it awhile back. Got 2 groupons and then for some reason stopped emailing them to me. haha Seems like a cool concept though. I'll sign up for it again, if it'll let me.

I've purchased 3 different ones so far and will attend the first restaurant this weekend.

Once a week I like to take the misses out to eat on the motorcycle and we like more "unique" places as opposed to chains and it seems the thing that groupon caters to...

I do them all the time. Just had a $10 hour pedicure, a $100 for facial, massage, microderm and pedi, LOTS AND LOTS of restaurants.... I can go on for days.... LOL

yup, have done several of them. they are legit.

hell even one restaurant closed, and groupon asked if i wanted my money refunded or if i wanted a credit.

sign up for the deals of the day, then you will get a daily email for the current deal.


use them, its well worth it.

you never know when a great deal will come up on something that could be a good gift idea.

Update! Today I just found out that there is a Groupon iPhone app. So I don't even have to print them out! I can show them right on my iPhone!

I get emails from them daily but don't usually take advantage of the deals. I did save a bunch of money for last years Rennaisance festival.

My girl loves looking at it on my iPhone.. We haven't seen anything that has interested us yet.. It is a pretty cool app tho

I have not used Groupon but I do use Restaurant.com. It does work and it does save money --- plus gets you to try restaurants you may not otherwise have considered. Good deal for everyone.

Did anyone see the story about the guy in Tbo.com a few months back that is spending the year living off of groupons. He's bartering with the groupons for rides across the country, food and shelter. No using money for an entire year. If he can succeed groupon is gonna cut him a check for 100,000 dollars if my memory serves me correct

Signed up and checked out the site.I might use it,but will be very wary of their groupons.Seems to be alot of unhappy customers on their boards .

I use both groupon and living social. I have an iphone app for it so i just check it once a day and see if its something I wanna use. Def a good deal.

There is also another company called amusement pack, its 24.95 per month but every month they give you a $25 gift card to a restaurant of your choice, plus it has discounts to theme parks, unlimited AMC movie tickets for $6.50, free airfare every month etc.

I use Groupon a lot. I find some really cool deals and besides it makes for fun date nights. yes I have a Fiance but we still call it going out on dates. You can find new interesting spots to go eat, see sites, do things to keep things fun and exciting. Kay n I just bought the one for 4 hours sea kayaking recently. not sure when we are going to use it though

I use Groupon far too often for my own good. I've used living social, but usually their deals aren't things I'm as interested in and they're often higher dollar deals i.e. spa packages instead of lunch out.
