It's a 2002 GSXR 1000. When you let the clutch out it won't slip at all it just grabs and goes as well as making a harsh chatter sound but only when letting the clutch out. Trying to figure out ther problem and thought it might be Burnt or glazed discs. So I purchased all new Fiber and Steel discs. Is there a certain way to put these in? I mean I know how we took out the ones that were in it but there was nothing wrong with the discs in the bike. No glazing or anything. Thinking maybe someone replaced the clutch and put the discs in differently? There are also two different types of fiber discs. 2 of one kind and like 8 or 9 of the other. Thinking the two differnt ones go on the end of either side. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas before putting this back together?

Your clutch basket may be grooved by the many years of the plates pounding on the aluminum basket. When that happens, when you pull the clutch in the plates wont separate. So when you pull the clutch in and let it out, the plates dont move far enough away from eachother to allow the clutch lever to work correctly. What happens is that the plates grab as soon as you start to let the clutch out. You can tell if the basket has grooves in it if you put it in 1st and the bike jumps. Or, by looking at the basket when you put new plates in. Make sure you soak them (the friction plates) in oil for at least 30 minutes.
