Keep grinding us down.
Too long to copy paste, but don't bother reading it.
Guess the media has to put crap out like this around bike week.

There are a couple good points in the article but alot of it seems overexagerated to me.
The problem is there ARE some valid points in the article. There are too many young kids getting on bikes and driving like jackasses and it gives the rest of us a bad name.
Nobody cares if there are 1000 bikers riding responsibly on a daily basis, they care about the 19 year old kid that splatters his dumb ass all over the road for riding like a moron.
Sure, alot of accidents are the fault of other drivers (cars) but I bet if you could find the crash statistics you'd see that a majority involved excessive speeds.
I don't agree with the remark about the helmet law either because the last 10 articles I've read on TBT about motorcycle deaths the person was wearing a helmet.
I'm all for the new rules regarding motorcycle training before getting a license but just like that article pointed out, half the jackasses doing dumb shit don't even have a motorcycle endoresement.

Hah! We all know there are riders that should not be riding, but the article is all about sensationalism not journalism. CNN can suck it

"You're buying that bike for that reason — somebody's not coming in and buying a sports bike to go putt around town,"
That actually put a smile on my face. My bike has never been past 85mph and she's my main commuter... The rest of the article actually is an argument for tiered licensing, though it had it fair of bullshit. I mean the lady that went into a ditch??? How many frackin' cagers kill motorcyclist out of their own stupidity?

Would you expect anything else from CNN? I propose they use the following slogan.
"CNN. Some of these facts may be true."

+1 Bullshit sensationalism! Let me know when they run a story on shitty drivers killing motorcyclists.
My bike tops out at their listed "common" speed >.<

many of the roads are so flat and straightaway that they can easily be turned into a racetrack
Wow, so they are talking about "The stretched and bi-curious" because most real riders see a straight flat road as the commute to work, and not a race track! LOL
known on the street as "crotch rockets.
Crotch rockets?! Who the fuck calls them that other than posers or non-riders?
At first, the buzzing of an approaching high-speed motorcycle sounds like a gnat near your ear, then it suddenly becomes loud and threatening. Segui remembers a woman who heard that noise and jerked her steering wheel in the opposite direction, jumping a curb and crashing.
Sooooo....because some lady can't keep control of her vehicle at the slightest loud noise (dunno if you've ever heard a dump truck on the Jake Brake, or hit a railroad track empty "BOOOOOOOM") WE get the bad guy label for her inconsistency in her ability to function on the road?!
Lloyd still acknowledges the lure of the racing bike. And he says that if he sells 60 of the bikes in a month, he knows that 10 to 15 of those will be involved in a crash, with the owners coming in to his business for repairs
see everyone? crotchsportspeedbikers r good for the economy!
