I always like to assume that if people are on this forum and they stick around for any length of time, then there is a certain assumed level of responsibility, because of how we all carry ourselves as a group. Organized or otherwise. The odiously irresponsible people seem to either move on, or learn a lesson and learn how to be humble.

So consider that I feel that I am posting this for you all to pass on to everyone you can think of.

I certainly hope this puts things in perspective for anyone that ever had any doubt.

No doubts existed in my mind previously. I forwarded this video to a few people I think need to see it...

Sorry, didn't have patience for the video. Too much load time.

A At&t rep told me of this awesome app for texting called Dragon Dictation (for the iPhone). You speak into the phone and it converts it into text. Really useful for those stop light texting moments.

well yea LOL, but I thought that was an ad-lib. I didn't think it was the exact meaning.

I was thinking "Dead on arrival" or something....

That sucks.....

And he was still texting while getting transported by the officer to the hospital! I would of tacked on a couple more years for that!

From wikipedia:

10-85

Arrival delay due to ___
En route to ___
Prepare to copy info
My address is ___
Patrol check of___
Loose livestock
Victim's Condition (Utah):

Fair
Poor
Critical
Possible Fatality
Obvious Fatality

...looks like the 10-85 Echo is only in Utah? That's the state this story is from... I'm guessing fair is Alpha; Poor is Beta; Critical is Gamma; Possible is Delta; Obvious is Echo?

So why can't folks actually talk to each other anymore? This whole texting thing is just a massive waste of time.

seeing people text while driving PISSES me off to no end (even at red lights). They quote the University of Utah as saying that texting while driving is equivalent to driving with a Blood Alcohol Level twice the legal limit. The penalties for texting should be as strict as drunk driving.

What's sad is someone even on this forum will watch this video and will be texting while driving tomorrow .

I can't text sitting at my desk.... too many buttons.
But after seeing this, I don't even want to talk on the phone while driving anymore.
