We are getting ready to move into the new house and I am looking to protect my garage floor from kickstands, grease, oil, etc. I cannot afford a full flooring treatment and am hoping that someone on the list has recommendations for a flooring application or tiles or mats or epoxy that is reasonably priced and will do the trick.
Thanks in advance

home depot sells a two part epoxy that works fine I think it is $65 you mix the two cans and paint the floor spread the chips for non slip and decorations, make sure you clean the floor first

You unoriginal bastard.
I vote for the 2 part epoxy. Did my neighbors garage a year or 2 ago and it has held up pretty well.

well... the reason its unoriginal is because its bad ass... but on that note, I was gonna do 1x1 black and white where the cars go and 1/4x1/4 where the bikes go.

Two tone -- very nice.
When you come to help with the fence we can lay down a floor as well. Forget beer ... those epoxy fumes will knock you for a loop!!

how big is your garage, the only other thing I reccomend if you go this route is if you have a 2-3 car garage mix all of it at once because the color can vary if you mix individually.

Grade 5 tiles will sustain years of use and abuse, plus they make a garage look real good.

I did the Behr Epoxy in my garage. Looks great, has held up well fro the last year and half. Follow the directions to a T and scrub the acid prep stuff in real good. The hardest and longest part is prep. I finished the actual painting of the floor in an hour. The prep took a day and a half. I would also wait for warmer weather.

If you go this route make sure to use the 2 Part Epoxy Mix. The one part stuff is cheaper for a reason "Cause it sucks". If you park a hot tire on the cheap stuff you'll roll away with porch paint on your tire...LOL
PS. I'd skip the chips, never liked the look. IMO

Don't you mean Yellow & Black, or Yellow & White, or Yellow, Black and White....Or maybe just Yellow and Black where the bike parks....
OHH wait a minute..... Do Yellow and Carbon fiber just where the bike parks....That would be BADAZZ.....

Just today at Costco I saw they sell large rolls made for protecting a garage floor. They're a dull gray color with diamond plate pattern I think. I glanced at the price, I know they're over a $100 but not sure exactly.

I went with VCT tiles, some of it in a...checkered pattern. They were about $0.75 per square foot, and doesn't require any special tools. Did the whole thing in a day. The picture is old, and the floor hadn't been polished, but it is easy to do and makes it look fantastic. This is the same stuff they use in schools, grocery stores, lots of high traffic areas. They don't break, and if you damage one, you just replace it. Lots of colors too, and available at Home Depot/Lowes.

here's what I did. It's paint from home depot, with several layers of clear on top. Added some grit to the top coat so it's not slippery. If you look closely, you'll see there's a yellow edge stripe too. Basically it is gray with white paint splashed on it.
