After 10+ years I finally dumped ATT. It was hard to do, trust me. But the ever failing economy has forced my hand. So I went to Sprint. YEa Yea YEa. I know. but you get what you pay for right. I got three Android Phones on a 1500 min Family Share Plan for $150 + tax a month. My iPhone alone at ATT was $120 something. My total bill for three phone with ATT was $240 something a Month. So switching to sprint may suck quality wise, but it sure is nice to have an extra $100 in my pocket each month.
I could have taken my number with me, but I decided to get a new number. So if you had my old cell number and want my new number just PM me and I'll reply back with it.
BTW, I got the HTC Hero and so far I like the way the contacts syncs up with my Facebook friends. So if I put your number in my phone and your also my friend on facebook. Your contact info, profile picture and what not get pulled from Facebook. Thats pretty cool IMO. I'm still learning the rest... :)
Drizoid!!!
you're gonna go INSANE with Sprint! Their service absolutely BLOWS!!! I signed up with them for 2 years and not even 6 months into the contract I cancelled service and gladly paid the early termination fee. been with AT&T ever since and have been pretty happy with'm. Good Luck though!

Yea I understand but I'm tired of paying my Huge ass ATT cell phone bill each month. then if I miss one month and have to double up the next. it's a killer. it was this or Metro PCS and for three phones Metro PCS was $150 a month for the plans and the phones they had all sucked. So It is what it is... I really don't care anymore about talking on my cell. So if the reception sucks sometimes, I don't care. LOL
So far it's not bad. I talked on it for about 35 mins straight on the way home tongiht and I didn't have any issues. Oh and I also get unlimited Mobile to Mobile, doesn't matter what network or time. Thats cool.

Wow, haven't had the same bad experience with Sprint. I've had Sprint for the past 6 or 7 years now and I have NO complaints about coverage/service. And before I went with Sprint, I had Cingular (AT&T), T-Mobile, and Verizon.
Plus, I travel pretty frequently, and again, haven't had any coverage issues. I have ALWAYS been able to make calls when needed. And around the Bay area, the only time I seem to consistently drop calls is only when I'm going across the HF bridge.
Besides, I think Sprint has the best data plan going.

We just rolled out a boat load of the hero's to our people and everybody loves them. Don't load every conceivable program from the market into your phone that auto checks your location and your phone will stay fast/ jeez. YOu dont have 50 programs running simulatenously on your pc and expect it to still be fast. Phone is no different. I do a lot of cool stuff wiht my hero and love the android OS.
I love my sprint phone and service....I'vebeen with them since 1997

Dude, I'm done giving ATT my money.
It's simple ecomonics. Sprint gives me the same crap only $100 less per month.;)

agreed about the apps. the phone comes with 20-30 useless apps on it now. And even with the iPhone I only turned on the location service when I needed it. I never though about it slowing the phone down but I was worried about the power consumption.
Did you load up the ROM update or the Sync update? I downloaded them yesterday but haven't gotten around to installing them.

excellent, that makes me feel better about the switch...

So Chris, what's new number? Oh, and I've had Sprint for 3 years with no problems with product or service. Guess it's hit or miss depending on your needs.

Its not an issue with personal Apps its an issue with HTC and their Factory installed Apps...that run in the background.
FYI
Android Software downloads for older Android OS 2.1 should be here in the next month or so....it will give you GPS Text to speech ability as well as many upgrades to the Interface controls

I also had the other providers before going with sprint, and I got to say I'm much happier with sprint. I never had a problem with coverage or service, and the customer service throuh my experiance has been good also.
