Don’t laugh, but I always wanted to piece together a Sportster dirt bike for a project in the tradition of the old Harley Davidson MX bikes of yesteryear. The actual MX bikes were not dependable with those foreign motors and are only good for museums and the like. The sporty would be good for back roads and trails but might be too heavy for the sand stuff but I’d sill like to give it a shot one day.
