I'm down with OOP -- I program in PHP, C, VB, VB.NET, Perl, TCL, Pascal, ASP, REXX, Javascript, Java. Did I forget anything?? I've dabbled in a bit of 8086 Assembly when I was younger--- Ya needed to get the most out of your 4Mhz 640k machine.
I also know SQL. Basically if I have a reference manual for the language, I can write something in it.. Does HTML count as a language? Cuz I know that shit off the top of my head.
I'm a linux geek on top of all of that.
I know my way around Photoshop ( enough to be dangerous ). I've been messing with VoIP (Voice OverIP, that's telephones that use the internet ) stuff for the past 2yrs. DogboneR1 gave me a coke can full of Pennies to rattle around when I need to get my Dogs attention. But a coke can full of pennies is quite hard to carry around every where and I was afraid that my dog would be scared of a can if he seen one. so I got this thing called "Pet Agree" from my GF.
It's alot better than running for the can and I never have to yell at the dog. I just use my corrective tone and press the button for 1 or 2 seconds at a time till he does what I asked him to do.
You can find these at PetSmart's anywhere in the area for $25.

You hiring?

Hey Guys/Gals,
I'm looking for a new job, and thought this might not be a bad way of finding out if jobs exist in any of the companies that you guys work for. It would be nice if people could post up if their company is hiring for any positions that they might know about. (Since most companies tend to advertise positions intra-company first, and then hire scouts/monster.com to find candidates). PM me with any questions about my personal qualifications. But post publically so everyone can get in on these jobs.
Thanks a million,
Dan
P.S. I live in the Tampa/TIA area.

Anything really. Most of my life has been spent in retail. Starting out at Best Buy in Computers, then moving to Carmax selling cars. Most of my career ('03-'05) has been spent with Dell as a Operations Manager/Sales Manager for the Tampa area, until I recently aquired a job with Microsoft (in Dallas, Fall '05) as a Anti-Piracy Project Manager, but had to move back to Tampa two months ago due to family reasons. I have a B.S. in Criminology and a B.S. in German from USF. Hope this helps,
Dan

I've been in restaurant work for almost 15 years on and off. I've been with Steak n ale, Ale houses, Outback, The Tampa club (42nd floor-downtown), cactus club & Jb winberies in Hyde park. I've been at the Carrabbas on Dale mabry just north of Kennedy about 6 months now and I'm actually pretty happy for now. Gimme a shout before you come in, I'll def "take care" of you guys! Oh yeah, I got to hang a lil w/ Johnny Carrabba, Marky mark, and Hootie & the blowfish a few weeks ago at a really cool golf function at Rocky point-very cool!:biker:

The jobs are good ... But it just depends on which aspect of aviation you are in.
Major airlines ... Not soo good!!
National Airlnes ... such as Southwest, JetBlue, Airtran ... pretty good
Cargo (Which is what I fly) ... very stable. We were the first airline flying after 9/11
Fractional Airlines ... Very good ... you are just married to a pager all of the time.
--and as far as the speed thing goes ... you really lose the sense of speed when you are at 45,000' doing Mach .81 ... You can however, feel it on takeoff!

I'm an Insurance Counsellor for personal automobile (not motorcycle) insurance with a major insurance company. Have a Florida 440 license. If anyone has questions about their insurance, let me know, and I'll do my best to answer them for ya.
If you have ever worked in a Call Center enviroment, or think you can handle talking almost non-stop on the phone for 9+ hours a day, let me know and I'll give you more info. We are almost always hiring. Sales or service or sometimes claims. The job would be in Lakeland. Would probably have to work at least one weekend day, maybe nights. Service gets a 10% shift diff. for night work. They will pay you to take the class and testing to get your 440 license (or whatever is needed for that particular job), will also pay for the class and testing (long as you pass) and also several weeks worth of paid training. Great benefits. Good pay. Profit Sharing. They have motorcycle only parking spots :)

Programming. I focus on Microsoft technologies, and enjoy programming websites the most, although my contracts are sometimes for Windows apps. My prime areas are ASP.NET and SQL Server. I host websites in my home office. Any more detail and this would look like a resume.
