So While I have been bust working on the website and trying to get other things taken care of, a friend of mine that is into graphic design heard me talking about needing a good logo.
Understand he knows absolutely nothing about motorcycles, and all I gave him was a brief explanation of what GPSHIFT means and what I sell...
What do you think?

i like the yellow and black, but not sure what the masked knight's signifacance is...
Maybe keeping the colors, but ditching the warrior, and going with something more motorcycle related

ya get rid of the knight dude. Go with like a fully leaned over bike tribal image or something, might be kinda cool if u can come up with the image
:gay: J/K... but :+1 on the knight looking dude... Looks like he needs a little more direction... Tell him to watch this weekends races....

I agree he knew nothing about the industry when he was working on this.
I have been working with sleeper on some things but he and I have both been busy...

I deffinately need something more bike-ish, but im not about to go the direction of PA...
I love their logo but it is theirs. I need my own style.
(maybe a gecko LOL)

I think I need an artist that knows the industry already....
Hopefully Sleeper has more time coming up soon.
Anyone else?

Maybe a pic of a rear set but kinda fancy and tribed out? I think the rear set in the logo would be cool. But again remember you're not selling hard parts. A cool dude on a bike with emphasis on the back pac and armour? Animated or caracature

Geck have ya got any concerns with the whole SHIFT thing? They have been around for a while in the bike industry.

I think the logo on your avatar is awesome. Put a back pac on him and some armour.
Hey the wifes brother does digital animation at tampa tech? want me too tell him to whip somthin up? Kid can draw like hell. Thats about all he does

Ok I got it. Just the armour with a back pac on. With the rider ghosted in on a bike cranked over in a turn. Looks like just the gear riding the bike. Sorry you asked.lol But just the gear riding the bike? The gear is in control.? no OK I'll stop.

Thought about that, but eventually I hope to sell other things... I dont ever want to become a cycle gear or parts unlimited... still just the import hi end stuff.. but still

not worried at all ;)

unfortunately my avatar is already a companies logo that i have stolen LOL
but i would not be apposed to something with a gecko in it. as long as there was a motorcycle reference in it somewhere.

I like that actually... give it to your brother LOL////
and while he is doing that Sleeper and I will continue to hash things out :)

I like the Knight, my perception of the image is a rider coming over a hill. why not change the knight image to a helmet it may have the same effect, sorry if this was already suggested i failed to read all 12 of RCDaves posts regarding the subject

Good looking logo, but not for anything motorcycling related. Kinda looks like a cross between Darth Vader and a Samurai...
The initials "GP" makes me thing of racing and perhaps that can be played on.

Looks like a nice logo - but not terribly defining, or descriptive.

I think the Icon (knight/centurion) DOES capture what you are selling on your web site, which, is protective equipment, bags (protect your luggage), etc.
Top two logos, are my favs.
The protective equipment and luggage that you sell can be branched to other markets other than motorcyclying (i.e. autocross, snowboarding)
You could probably add a tagline to some or all of the logos that gives a brief indication of what your business provides.

Thanks for everyones input. I actually got one I was happy with about a week ago but have been busy and not put it up on the site of listed it here.
I was to REALLY thank Sleeper for his attempts. As I mentioned to him, over the past months i have had SEVERAL people working on this.
here is the final
I am only putting the bike image in the background untill I get some brand recognition and the colors will change according to the application.

Not to be a dick or anything but havent we seen enough Bike related logos with a speeding bike? Its not sitcking in my brain if you know what i mean. Do smoething more like what PA does. i would reconize their logo anywhere and years from now. Don;t skimp on the logo. it might be one of the most important things you do for your company. Good luck.

actually i don't know what you mean. sorry.
the logo was designed without the bike behind it and after talking to a bunch of people about brand recognition and pointing out that companies like dunlop, pjm, and others only use their names as a logo but have had YEARS to establish a reputation.
I specefically asked that the bike be placed behind the logo temporarily so that people knew that the company was a sport bike related company. (blanket advertising will spread well beyond a community that knows who i am)
I can appreciate where you may feel that the sport bike as part of the logo is overplayed, but it is temporary. the logo is the wording.
If i am missing your point, please elaborate on your statement, as you can tell this is important to me.
And for the record I have already spoken to Chad about the tag line. and we are both of the same opinion. Neither of us thought it up , but we both passionately believe in it. so why not use it.

There's a spelling error on your home page.

GP Shift is a young company and as such; at the moment, we are only going to offering the product lines that we feel are the best in their class with no exception. Frocefield Body Armor and Kriega Bags and Packs.

Good luck with your venture!
