So........was riding to work tonight, and apparently ran over some wet paint on

the road and didn't notice it, until I got to work. The paint from the tires sprayed

all over my bike so now the tires, front and rear fenders, front sides of fairings,

rear undertail (and part of the top!?) and all down the bottom of the bike have

this nasty light blue paint all over them!! (My bike is black)

So WTF!!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

First try soap and water. Then something like goof off or goo b gone. If neither of those work you could try paint thinner but be very careful with using it. If you are not able to get the paint off you chemically you will need sand and buff the parts.

That really sucks. Sorry to hear that. You can also try brake cleaner but also be careful with it. You don't want to let it sit on there too long or it'll take the black paint off too.

Follow what Wasn't me said. One word of caution with cleaners like Goof Off / Goo Gone: they will work fine when used properly on painted surfaces but if you have raw plastic parts (like an OEM rear hugger or undertail), it will take the shine right out of them and make them look like crap. For these use a citrus based cleaner instead.

Mequires Scratch X works like a charm. Have had this happen to my Vette. Also clay bar may work.

+1 on the Meguires Scratch X, it comes in a small Black squeeze tube. It should do the trick (safely).
