Okay, only have time for a quick recap now . . .

Monday, I got a crappy start, AND had a guy highside right in front of me in the International Horseshoe (wait 'til you see the video of THAT one!), and had to go in the grass to avoid him. Finished 5th.

Tuesday, I pulled the ol' "tortoise and hare" on 'em to finish 2nd (making the second year in a row to finish 2nd on Tuesday)! Three bikes that finished ahead of me on Monday blew up. I LOVE the reliabiliity of my Beemer!

how the hell do you high side there? unless he chopped the throttle from it sliding.

congrats on the finish. that track is scary on the banks, but fun nonetheless.

He locked up the rear on entry. In other races, a coupla other guys highsided on exit because of too much throttle.

I LOVE ridin the high banks of Daytona. No other track like it!!!

Here's the video of the highside right in front of me. Have traded emails with the guy, his bike ended up worse than him (he has bumps, bruises and a broken wrist). I'm just glad I didn't run him over!

That's what I was thinkin. Or maybe he rear braked lever locked "down" and his foot you see going downward is trying to lift it back up.

I think it's more than just his foot, because look at the black streak the rear tire leaves. Pretty long. Obvious his rear tire locked?

I'm going to talk to him this weekend to find out more.

Just confirmed with the highside rider that his tranny locked up. He said he was just starting to think it might be going bad on the previous lap. Sux for him, his bike was sweet. Expect to see him back on the track this summer.

my buddy rick benegbi was there ... he borrowed a bike a thurxton 900 ? triumph .... he had never riden the bike and eneded up taking fourth ... last year he took 1st in light weight production and 2nd in heavy weights. next year he will be in the cb350 clubman class.... we are build that bike now and it wasnt ready for daytona... but maybe for barber.. any ways good video and congrats on your outcome
