A couple weeks ago I had my tires changed at ride now in clearwater on 19. First this dickhead puts a 180 on my bike, which they were quick to fix when I pointed it out. Then after I get home(which this is my fault for not looking while I was there) the monkey that changed my tire put a big gouge in my swing arm. After buffing for an hour and re clearing it, it looks passable...I can still see it though. Not to mention the numerous scratches I had to touch up on my rims. Oh yea...they also raised their price to 40 bucks a tire. So after my complete ass raping bike scratching experience I began to think.....I should just buy a tire machine and change my own damn tires. so I figured If I do buy one, I will also buy some used wheels and hone my tire changing skills to perfection so as not to scratch my own wheels. Would anyone be interested if I was changing tires for 25 bucks a piece? I haven't bought one yet, but I'm just curious if I could make it pay for itself and finally not have to worry about the local Dbags scratching up the machinery.

they put a nail in my rear tire to force me to buy a rear and front tire when i only brought it to them to buy a front tire.

my rear tire was perfect.

when i got my bike back after they put the new front tire on, I looked at my back tire and saw a nail in it. I was pissed off!

never go to that store!!!!

they told me that i needed a new kick stand after readjusting bike back to normal height. BULL SHIT I had A RE ADJUSTABLE 150 dollar kick stand

they told me my back was raised to its highest level.....bull shit my friend showed me it was on its lowest link and raised it up for me.

then the bastard had the nerves to tell me to come back again so that they can flush my brake fluid HAHAHA yeah right...

fuck ride now

I have a set of clamps I use to break beads, and a 36" long tire iron for changing semi tires. works wonderfully.

If you buy the tires from Pure Acceleration (a TSB site sponsor), there is no charge to mount them on the rims.

Works VERY well for me.

If you need a practice rim, I could loan you an already beat up F2 rear wheel and tire to practice mounting/dismounting tires with. I eventually plan to straighten it, but I REALLY dont care if it gets scratched to hell or not.

you seem to have had a pretty bad experience with ride now clearwater, i know port richey sucks, but clearwater is not so bad...i know all of the service techs and the service manager personally and i know for a fact that no one would put a nail in your tire. 1. theyre all decent guys 2. they dont make comission so why would they create more work for themselves by having to change another tire 3.theyre not assholes, theyre all decent guys. do you think maybe you could have picked up the nail/screw on your way there? if it were a screw that had just eben forced into your tire there would be no scuff marks on it at all, it would be nice and shiny, if it had been ridden on it would have been worn down, or at least scratched up a little. im not telling you to go back again, or that there may not have been a miscommunicaton (maybe they thought they were only supposed to raise the front end of your bike) but i know for a fact that they would not sabotage your tire. the guys in the front end of the service dept, are a little slow, but not the ones that actually do the work. those are the hardest working 4 guys at that damn dealership.

I have used Ride Now service department in
Clearwater. I haven't had any problems with
service guys. They did a good job on my lock
set. I want to say they even washed the bike
down when they were done. I didn't expect
that.

I used to buy tires online and then go to cycle gear to get the tires swapped out. They always did a good job. So I called Mike at PA to get an estimate. Well Mike beat my internet price by a little. But instead of payiing sixty plus dollars to have the tires swapped at cycle gear, Mike and Sideshow mounted and balanced the new skins for nothing. Also, the balance job performed was perfect. You have my business as long as I'm riding.

I'll just get them done trackside for 15 a piece, or at PA for free

Thats why i love working for Tires Plus because i get to do my own tires on our mostly state of the art run flat/low profile tire machine. never messed my own ducati Marchesini wheels up and i also do my brothers cbr and my roomates duc too. only thing is i dont balance them but none of us have had a vibration problem. i could mount some tires if you want to bring them to me off the bike for some cash. I am verrrrrry careful with wheels. Its the tires plus in the tyrone mall parking lot across the street from hooters. i would not let anyone else touch them so call my cell before you go there to make sure ill be there . it would be best to do them later in the day when i can give 100% to the wheels some time around 7 or 8 pm.

not trying to steal a good idea but more like help out some fellow riders.

P.S. good tire machines are BIG $$$$$$$$
