Ok, so I'm watching this technology show "Beyond Tomorrow". Seems to be from the UK, b/c everything they show is happening overseas, at least this episode. The chic is pretty hot,.......but I can't see myself saying the words "fancy" or "give me a go at it". lol.
Anyway, she just reviewed this helmet.
Costs $500.00 and has 3-4 mirrors that are glued to a polycarbonate structure in the shape of a "C". Takes the light and reflects it via the mirrors to the rider's field of vision. You have a few inches of site if you look up. So you no longer have to turn around or look in your mirrors to see what is behind you! Clever.

Wow thats kool Ill take 1 of those.
That is sweet!
Not very good looking helmet, but that is one of the best Ideas for helmets I've seen in a while.
Now if they can combine, a carbon fiber shell for weight, the sunglass shield like the icon and this mirror, all in one helmet!

cool idea, but I think it would mess with my mind a bit seeing that in my upper peripheral eyesight

very good idea but like KT said I'm not sure i could use it. i have really sensitive peripherals so i think it would mess with me too much.

I saw this about a year ago.
I sent an email to them asking where I could get one , and they replied that they were not licensed to sell in the us.
but they were working on it.

Must not be DOT approved as of yet. Seeing that aftermarket rims are DOT as well as the european standard of engineering ,what ever it is called.
I wonder if they have to submit with some $$$$ to our DOT.
One way to get around that is to buy one from a dealer in the UK and have them ship it.
I would like to get a new lin the future. This is something I would like to get.
Aesthetically it looks like a simple helmet, no frills, but nice helmet from the technology aspect.

I would imagine the benefit being rid of the second or 1 and 1/2 it takes you to turn your head and back. I think it's pretty cool. I constantly glance around even without switching lanes. I wanna know when someone gets up my ass.

I think you are thinking of TUV.
And if these helmets are selling in the UK i might be able to contact someone over there for prices for you.
Might want to check ebay.uk to see if they are selling on there yet.

I saw this a while back...around the same time i saw a company that was mounting cameras into helmets and putting a display in the corner periphrial as a kind of rear-veiw heads up display.
