Introducing Ruby & Noel. From now on will be known as LIPS & GRUMPY.

Being 53 & 54 respectively we have dreamed, off and on, for this trip for eons. Realizing we are getting a little more creaky with every passing year, we are relieved that our last chitterling will be old enough to leave home and venture forth to his own destiny, so we can continue ours.

The day we leave Kiwi Land will be the first day of an exciting scary year of experiences. And the great thing is we will be sharing it with our very good friends Bren and Em, whom we fight with, have fun with and sometimes burp with. And it always turns out alright. Tho I still don't agree with friends being allowed to fart !!!

Whoa 'WORLD' here we come.
Introducing Brenda (Blondie) & Emil (Nuts)

So who are we you may ask!!! Yep we are a couple of old farts (so the kids tell us). Trying to do everything before we run out of time.

We are a couple who meet over 35 yrs ago married and had a family We have worked together building up our farming business over those years now its time to reap the rewards.

In our mid 50s we are preparing for a trip of a life-time (well for us anyway). Packing up our kit helmet and leathers, stepping out buying a Harley and touring the USA and Europe with friends. An adventure of sorts that we will be on the road and away from home for a year.

Why a motorcycle -- because I enjoy riding them there just seems to be more satisfaction to it than driving a car or camper van.

And a Harley well what is a pilgrimage through-out America without them Hogs.

Maybe not in the style of - Peter Fonda and Dennis Hooper as portrayed in EASY RIDER but more along the lines of Tim Allen - John Travolta - Martin Lawrence & William H Macy in WILD HOGS

There just seems to be something special at being able to absorb the full surroundings when riding a bike From wild life to the delicate aromas that nature tends to throw up in your direction can leave an everlasting impression on ones senses.

Now that's what this trip is all about friendships and if we live long enough - EVERLASTING MEMORIES.

They are at the end of the 11th month. They just left here and are heading to New Orleans. Then they will make the trip back to San Fran.

He was telling me that they flew the bikes over to Europe on an Air France Plane. Shit if I new I could take my bike as carry on I am heading to Austria. lol
