View Full Version : New Tampa and North Run - Suggestions?

So, we have a small riding group that go out pretty much every Sunday. We all live in Wesley Chapel and ride out from Coiller Parkway to Erhen Cutoff. then to 52.
So here's the question! What places would you guys suggest for a lunch spot around this area? For the past few weeks, we've been to Buffalo's and Hungry Harry's. We typically ride back from the Sonoco on 41 to 54. We are not looking for any type of fast food places, rather a medium priced restaurant, or anything similar where we can sit and shot the shit, etc.....
Anyone?
Thanks guys.

Its a Pub...
They have sandwhiches, burgers, hot dogs, chili, soups...etc..
But The Shammy Burger with Cheese is so awesome...but if you dare the Shammy....you shall have a race on your hands going home...

For those that like cuban's and rides a similar route as us, try Larry's Deli out. They have, in my opinion, the best cubans around! They are located right on 41 in LOL.

The City's Edge in Dade City off 52(across from the fairgrounds) is pretty dang good. Try the Rings of Fire (onion rings with hot sauce in the batter) and the philly. On The Q BBQ just opened off 52 in San Ann and is pretty tasty.

Yep. That place is awesome. I think it is called Pancho Villa's. Head down Hwy 52 from Ehren's cutoff. GO under the Interstate and continue a mile or so to Curley Rd. Turn left and then go a block or so and turn right on Pennsylvania Ave. Great food and they serve coke in the old school glass bottles. Their lunch special's are usually $5 - $7

Actually both Pancho Villa's and the deli next door have "good" food. In the mornig the deli has great breakfast sandwiches, the Mexican is great for lunch, prices are good!
Btw-Shamrock's burger is a great burger, but it's hard to throw your leg over the bike after eating one of them.......

Depending on how far north you go. I noticed most these replies being in Brooksville off HWY 50.
there's a cracker barrel near the interstate and waffle house...
there's a bowling ally (Louie's I think) with a bar(called the Pits) and burgers and stuff if you go west on 50 from the interstate... as if goin towards downtown b-ville (just passed the second hess on 50 from the interstate).
Applebees if you drive west on 50 from I75, when you get to the intersection with the second hess you'd pass turn left... it'll be on the left down a ways before you reach HWY 41.
-> if you turn right at the light by the applebees (thats 41) there's fast food...
pizza hut- and huddle house
Mcdonalds- wendys - checkers - taco bell - arbys
a really good deli place
... if you continue around the corner (on 41) to the right there's a place called maws vittles... its home made country cooking... :) delicious!
... a little farther near the court house there's a hand full of cafes and little mom an pop restaurants.
... if you end up goin up the hill to a light turn right (back on Hwy 50) there's a place called farmer johns supposed to be amazing... havent been tho so no experienced review,
... just passed it is coney Island... mhm one of my Favs. (they also do bike night every other thursday night :) usually good turn out, music, games, prizes) once you reach the corner and vear left with the road you'll end up back by the bowling ally [next light a hess you would have turned left at earlier haha] and on HWY 50 heading back towards I75.
-- if at the previous intersection passed the mom an pop resturants up the hill... if you go straight instead on left... you'll be goin north on 41, there's a few restaurants on that road.
-> mhm if you can get to 50 near the express way/veterans/suncoast/toll road,
[follow passed the applebees go straight through light when reaching another hess take another left, it'll take you to more food]
there's a bike shop on the (left just passed the expressway overpass) way you should stop in and check out it's called Adventure Cycle Center... it's part of the Barney's Franchise. they're great. tell them I had you stop by. [Hrs T-F 9-6 S 9-5 CL Sun/Mon]
... there is ruby tuesdays - carrabas - movie theater - texas road house <-- one of my favs. - CC pizza - all on the right side of 50.
mhm... theres subway and beefs on the left.
chick-fil-a - McDonalds - star bucks
a few sit in cafe like places... an italian place; I've never been too
-> if you continue bout 10 min passed all that an reach US 19 turn left for more food and right for a good open ride to know where then you might find some bar an grill type places in like homosassa (mispelt).
... mhm let me think lol I know of more. haha maybe Ill come back if I can think of anything else :)

Yes. Good caesar salad, burgers and fries. That's what my little bro and I ate when we rode out there a couple months ago, so that's all I'll vouch for. The road through the mines across the street is a fave cut through of mine.
