Dang dude I just bought this 6 months ago!! It's an amazing pistol.

I'm looking for a hunting rifle soon though. My brother hunts pig & deer and I like to start going w/ him.

I know you guys covered this in another post somewhere, but I can't find it...
What do I need to do legally to ensure I have a license that allows me to keep a gun in the house? I would like to purchase something for the home but I would like to go about it correctly. Additionally, are classes offered for teaching children the dangers of guns; and if necessary their use? I have a house full of kids and have debated for years about getting a firearm to keep in the house or not. I grew up my life with several guns in the house and I turned out ok... (relatively). I think lack of education is what leads to accidents and if I get a gun in the house I want everyone in my house to understand it. I feel I can teach a lot but all the additional education will help.

Thanks

Postona,

You do not need any kind of documentation other than that the gun is registered to have it in your home. As long as it's registered you can keep it at home no problem. As for child safety no one can teach it better than you. They will pay more attention if the information is coming from you rather than a stranger. Just make sure you practice gun safety (trigger lock, lock box, never keep clip in gun). Most younger kids don't understand the workings of a gun, but don't teach them concentrate on letting them know that it's not a toy and it can hurt someone or them. NEVER do the under the pillow/mattress thing. Here are some links for guidance...Hope this helped
