A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below. The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws, which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code. In general, critical violations are those that, if not corrected, are more likely to contribute directly to food contamination, illness or environmental damage. Although we use the industry-standard term "critical", varying degrees of severity and potential risk to the public require inspectors to assess each situation in determining the appropriate action. In addition, while an establishment may have multiple violations, the inspectors' training and judgment formulate the overall result of the inspection to ensure the public health and safety. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure when necessary.

I'm not saying the violations are minor or not important, but they are ALL fixable in one day. They call and get the health police out there the next day. They can be open Friday.
In 20 years in the restaurant business, I have seen a hell of a lot worse.
When I was managing a godfather's pizza in Jax. we had an AC problem. The franchise owners wouldn'r fix it. When the health guy game by to do the inspection, we discussed the 110 deg. temp in the dish room/prep area. He asked me if i wanted a red tag? I said do it. Restaurant was closed for 3 days until repairs were made. I called the health man, he reinspected. Store opened up that afternoon.
Oh yeah, that regional manager got fired.

Well in that area is Buffalo Wild wings, but i did that place a few years ago when it opened and it SUCKED HARD..
We need good parking, plenty of room and easy to get to...
We did old chicago pizza a few times, but parking there sucked.

i remember being a teenager, and working at grocery stores/fast food places.
EVERYTHING was swept under the rug.
when we called the managers about rat s, they just said put out more traps.
when we called them about roaches, same deal.
when there was a bird in the store, the manager shot it. no shit, but winn dixie has changed owners a few times now ;)
needless to say we don't go out to eat much. :D

The one on 301 and bigbend? that is far for some, i mean i would love to have a meet so close to my place, but for most that far south is just a drive....

Hooters, IMO isnt that great, and the parking at the one on 60 in brandon was why we stopped going there, could never get parking, and they wouldnt do anything for us....:occasion1

it is 15 miles further south than Barnacles.. trust me, i know i live out there, you are talking about the one on 301 and big bend, right?
that place would be great, but it is pretty far south... Hell we have people who live in brandon who wouldnt go to brandon..
then for people like JH who live in Georgia, that is another 15 miles for them..
I i like the brandon area, cuz it is easily accessable to everyone, and i dont mind that being the closest meet to me, we just need a good replacement

The manager of the Bell Shoals and the Big Bend BWW's is Jay, and yeah, he's very pro-bike. He asked us about having a bike night last year some time when Tribal & Nanna went riding after Busafan ditched us. (sorry man, I can't let that go :D) He's still there as of last month.

Brandon is NOT easily accessable to everyone. An accessable location to everyone would be centrally located in Tampa - surrounded by St. Pete, Clearwater, N. Tampa, Brandon and Riverview areas.

They just had their 8th anniversary, I'm sure they'll get the items fixed and be reopened asap. These items are pretty mild compared to what could have been on the list. Besides, in hot commercial conditions, it only takes not cleaning something 2 days for "slime" to grow.

would trains balls be considered commercial?
cus sideshow, kalon, frank, murphy, suicide king and sick son were complaining about them being slimey and unkept.
 That thread is funny as hell... If you won't eat at a place that has had violations, you're not eating anywhere -including your own kitchen...
Besides it's this kind of stuff that keeps your immune system up to par! :D

Then finding a place immediately isn't necessary. Unless fewer people show to this meet as a result of the inspections, there is no point in changing it at all. If we begin to notice less people, then it would be prudent to look into a new locale.

I'll go back, people make too much of this.
Who knows maybe some complaint calls were made by a competitor or an ex-employee.
