View Full Version : Get together Idea (for us married folks)

The_Jarhead

I was thinking of having a thing where 4-5 couples or so get together once a month or every other month for dinner. It works on a rotation from one house to the next each time. Here is the twist. The girls go sit out back and BS with a few glasses of whine or what ever and guys do the cooking. Its good way for the girls to socialize and some of the guys who don’t get to do nice things like that because they aren’t very good at cooking get help from those of us who do and enjoy it.
It’s hard for us married folks sometimes to hang out with singles all the time. I know sometimes they feel like a third wheel hanging with us and I know if we go out with a bunch of them sometimes we feel out of place. It’s nice to have some married friends to hang out with, although it’s harder for us cause we don’t have kids(unless you count the 2 dogs) and a lot of married folks sit around talking about their kids and we end up drifting out cause we can’t get in to the conversation.

What do you think?

THAT IS GREAT!!!!! We have had Spoole and Tonya over a few times already and we are doing something together with them this weekend. THis would be so much fun i think.

Its true what you say about the whole married vs. single thing. Either party can feel a little out of place if you can't really talk about marriage thing with the single party or vice versa. Don't get me wrong...i will be friends with just about anyone as long as they are cool and respectful, but i think this would be an awesome thing to do.

The single guys and girls can also plan up something for them selves on a monthly or semi monthly basis as well.

Good thinkin JARHEAD we will def. be up for this.

We don't have kids either.

Don't let Little Ninja fool you though - I don't actually have children stuck in a freezer or trunk somewhere.

I'm a big fan of 'get the heck outta the house' go to a movie, grab a bite to eat, get a cup of coffee. When is the next UFC and do any of the other wives actually dig that??

I LOVE UFC! But remember we "girls will be BS in the back getting tipsy while you guys do the cooking.

P.S.

spoole really does have kids locked in a trunk! He already tried to lock one of mine up.

What about couples that are not married? In common law my BF and I would be considered married... Hell we've been together for 15 years and have a kid. I'm sure by now your asking yourself...Why the hell aren't they married... well thats a long story. We are happy though. :D

Will this event be negroe friendly and if so there will be no wine sipping but some malt liquor drinking and dinner will always be collard greens, chicken, and ribs.

yeah . . . That's NOT where I am at. Leave it to the guys to take a nice night out and turn it into a gangbang. I'm good with hanging out with folks but I'm too damn irish to even consider tolerating the idea of some other dude groping up my wife - where I come from that's a great way to get shot.

My wife loves the UFC.
Did you see that Royce Gracie is coming back to fight Matt Hughes in May? That fight is going to be awesome.

True story: Tonya and I both have Fd up families so we kind of make up our own traditions. Valentines Day is a big one. Valentines Day 1999 we rented every single UFC available, bought $100+ of Ice Cream, Godiva Chocolates, Pizza and spent the entire day watching UFC, having xes and eating junkfood.

By like 8pm I was exhausted, dehydrated, and KNEW I had to marry her.

Lean, fit guys beating the hell out of each other is like porn to Tonya. If I've sat through the Brad Pitt fight scenes in "Snatch" and "Fight Club" once, I think I've seen them 1,000 times. I never regret it (ahem).

Sooo, where's a good place to watch UFC? Winghouse?

The_Jarhead
01-20-2006, 11:48 AM
Winghouse would be good if they have it (not sure if they do), but I think that is whole other topic.

Now back to the original topic. What are your thoughts on that kind of thing?

PirateGirl,
I think after long you might as well just say you are married anyway. So yes you would fit in too.

I think we'd be up for something like that, sure. Thing is we live in an apartment so we'd mostly end up as guests at other people's homes - we can still bring food or whatever - so yeah.

Craig is a HUGE UFC fan and I actually like it too (when it's on before my bedtime). So we'd be game for hosting a UFC / TSB Fight Night at our place.

I hope he doesn't get mad that I just volunteered us to do that...

I understand.
Actually our place would be out for a little while anyway. We are putting a pool in and the place is wreck during construction. Bad thing is it’s going to be mess till it warms up a bit and I can put new sod down.

Someone should just through a biker house Party. Damn it that sounds like a plan. But back to this talk of meeting of the married folks, shouldn't it just be like a couples thing, then all the single folk could pick up a stripper to ride 2up, and I don't think they'd be so oppossed to dogbones idea of wife swapping.

Ladies, ladies, my how you have been slacking. Have you not seen the slew of male strip clubs popping up everywhere. In the Brandon/Riverview area alone there are at least 20. There's the shaved scrotum club off of 60, there's Deja Blueballs off of 301, and my favorite is Mons Penis on Providence.... :occasion1
But really for the right price I'll ride naked on the back of one of your bikes :bouncy:

She works on Lost (http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index.html). Background/stand-in on that show and also most of the shows that filmed out there. Hawaii(cop drama), North Shore(90210 in Hawaii), some independant films and mainstream films. Looking to get her "big break"...

Me and my wife would do this...wife swap? not me. I ain't trading down.
That is for one person only...I don't know the rest of your wives...so I have no opinion on those matters.

We could host the night after the_jarhead's...I wouldn't have to leave my 'hood for two meets...whooooooooooot. :occasion1

I'm closing on my new home next week and although I don't currently have a girlfriend I would be willing to at least host the party. You just have to take your shoes off when you come in. The new hacienda is in the MeadowPointe subdivision off Bruce B Downs or SR 54, Yes that's the PIMP Mobile.

Nice house, dude.

We (girlfriend and I) just built a house.

We're not married 'cause I haven't asked her, yet.

I was married (briefly) about 4 years ago and it was a little traumatic for me. The separation, that is. During the marriage it was pretty bad, too.

Anyway, I'll talk to her and see if she'd let me host a party. You guys willing to drive up here?

If she got to know you, she might let me go riding with you more often. Or maybe not...hmmm... :D
