If an alloy as soft as an aluminum slider leaves a gouge in that track, i question the construction of the track :/

Forks - aluminum
Pegs - aluminum
Swingarms - aluminum

it has to be either aluminum ot those pesky plastic frame sliders.

The metal slider piece is aluminum, and from what I have seen it actually keeps your stator cover from touching in the case of a slide(depends on the bike of course).

Good looking out though Jarhead, I will look into having my dad make some polyurethane sliders to replace the aluminum, just in case they decide to do away with them. I wouldn't want to go out for my first trackday and be turned away for the rails.
