Had my shoulder surgery on Wednesday morning - recovery sucked big time. I'd rather deal with pain than being doped up, I HATE being groggy.

I do have a pretty nifty neato 'RoboCop' sling to compress and cool the injury

And here's the pics of the shoulder itself. It aches and my range of motion sucks, but I'm feeling better already.

I start physical therapy next week, hopefully I'll be back up and about in no time.

I missed what was wrong with your shoulder. What preceedure did you have? I just found out yesterday, i tore a tendon in my left shoulder. I havent been able to ride or do much of anything for a while now. Anyway, hope it heals fast.

I:
Flipped a car in 1994
crashed a bike in 2000
highsided in 2004
and never paid attention to any of it - just kept plugging away, lifting weights, sparring, etc.
Torn tendons don't heal. Keep it up and you can lose use of the arm and then surgery gets REALLY nasty.
contact Dr. Mirabello - he's a shoulder specialist, works on the bucs, the lightning too

Judgeing by the second pic that does not look like the face of a man in pain.......their giving you the good stuff aren't they?

Dude, I was BORN with that face
I was cracking jokes from when they put me under to when I came out of surgery. They said I was making them laugh even after I was 'out' I kept mumbling stuff at them. I dunno, probably my old man talking in my head, you know "toughen up, boys don't cry" that sort of thing - so I just try to laugh it off. It does make it hard for nurses to take me seriously when I tell them that I'm REALLY hurting and I am laughing at the same time.
