Im learning wheelies and decided to start of with first gear. I can get the front end up but after it goes up I let of the throttle and drop it. This goes for maybe 10-15 feet. My bike is fairly new and I really dont want to loop it. What is the best advice you got for keeping it going? Do you stay hard on the throttle or once it gets up let off a little bit then gas it and walk it out? I ride bmx and got the balance point stuff down from that( I can ride a manual wheelie on a bmx bike for blocks). Do alot of you guys have the rear brake set up as a hand brake? Any tips you can guys can give me for riding the wheelie out?

Have you checked out the thread below?

I would also try getting on a wheelie machine. I'm sure they'll have at least one at StuntoberFest this weekend over at the USA Speedway in Lakeland.

Other than that, keep practicing getting it up until you're comfortable with that. Then move on to throttle control and balance.
