the classes and swap meet is free. i'll post up the gear requirements as soon as i find out.

roger that.

Here's an idea...
since we're coming on bikes and it may be difficult to actually BRING or TAKE your stuff to sell, swap or buy; take a picture and print it with a description and your contact info. make a deal at the meet and arrange to get your stuff later.

Sorry for the late responce, I've been beyond busy with work. Now regarding the class, it's probably going to be all morning, especially with the amount of people. We are not teaching our normal class but it is modified and we are trying to ensure that we get out the education/practice to help people out.

Donna, CJ & I need to get with you regarding the amount of people for the safey riding portion and we need to go check out the riding area.

Riders, please ensure that you have your gear on....Helmet, gloves, jacket, over the ankle shoes, etc. If you have the back protector vest, like the Icon one that I see a lot of stunters wear, you can wear that but must have a long sleeve shirt. It's going to be the middle of November.....so it shouldn't be too hot out there. For those of you that might complain, I'm not a "gear nazi" but we are teaching safety and in our class the gear is required.

from a PM exchange....

Hey just wondering what type of things will be talked about in the s&s day riding skills workshop will it be like the msf classes?
This is more of an advanced / street wise class. The instructors teach classes at a local military base and the material will be based on what they teach there.
ok thanks, i was looking for a cost is their one? i couldnt find the thread.
This event is free for all to attend, but we do need to know the numbers in advance.
This is being done by TSB members for TSB members. While the Safety & Skills instructors do this for a living, they are doing this as private citizens and not as employees, contractors or agents of any company, agency or organization for hire.

oh and thanks to donna for ho'ing my bike. its a major part of the 1st 600 miles/break-in being successful.

now I can ride the last few miles tonight to 600, change oil and 600 mile service it tomorrow, and call it done. but thats minor details compared to donna ho'ing it!

Thanks to all who made today possible, and thanks to those that came out. It was good meeting all the new faces.

JGennaro, your presentation was well worth the trip out to St. Pete.

Hopefully, this will be put together again soon and there will be a greater turn out.

PS: Thanks to the chef. The burgers and hot dogs were awesome. :)

who won damn it!

Hey buddy, I know everyone is courious about the raffle, well due to the low number of people there, we are going to do the raffle on Wed night at Gators.
Also donna will be posting up also, we are going to do a silent auction on the site for the Suomy and KBC helmet as well as the 3 pairs of boots since they are all size specific, so keep your eyes open for details...

just got home, put the feet up and opened a nice cold one. :occasion1

Sadly, Candi had to do duty on base today and couldn't make it. Candi, don't sweat it... work should always come first!!

Thankfully ME and I were able to contact and meet with Donna and Jerry "Motorman" Palladino at their home (Hernando County!) last night to get a copy of his DVD and riding exercise guide. Jerry and his team made the course look sooooo good and smooth!!! With that being said, I was so happy to see you guys put your feet down today!!! It just means that we have more skills to practice! :sinister:

Jason, thank you again sooooo much for providing so much valuable info!!!

Thanks to those that came out today!!! Hope to do it again...

no biggie jc.

Talking with Donna last night was really refreshing. She knew we were coming from Dunedin, and they had their own class to teach this morning in NPR, but she surprised us by agreeing to meet us so we could buy the video. We were stuned when they were so nice and then gave us the DVD and copies of the riding guide.
for more info or to order your own copy, click here (http://www.ridelikeapro.com/).

We saw their son, Tony's GSXR750, but I somehow refrained from asking to ho it. :sinister:

Thanks to HeWhoIs for reminding us about Jerry's program!

it was held at Schiller Univ in Largo...

This had been promoted for almost 2 months....
We'll probably do another one after the holidays, but more than likely won't be at SIU next time. I need to measure out the campus parking lot in NPR before committing for the next one though.
