Well the day started out great.
Had a nice big breakfast, returned the complete crap "Ghostrider" Blockbuster kept calling me about.
Took Crystal to the bank, filled the tank and we were off!
I was in search of what I was told would be a perfect new spot for my crew and boy do we need one.
After being kicked out of 2 spots on more than 1 occasion.
And after 2 wrecks out in Ocala.
And just not being real happy about any others, I was desperate!
I was given a real long multiple turn route to get to a spot that should never have taken as long as it did.
And I take at least 3/4 responsibility for not being a little more thorough in my research before the trip.
We started out right around 1 pm.
By 3 ocklock I was roughly halfway to my destination point and got lost!
Now I'm 2 hours into this trip, 2 counties away from Tampa up in the sticks, looking for a street that doesn't exist!! At least I sure as hell couldn't find it.
And why do you suppose I couldn't find it???
Cause it's a DIRT ROAD WITH NO STREET SIGN!!!!!!!!
I swear to God!!! And thank God for the UPS man who new about this "Pig trail" as he called it!!!
I swear the CBR barely made it through!!!!
I'm getting a little frustrated at this point as you can imagine since my TSB peeps gave me this route, how the hell they run a bike run down a dirt "Pig trail" I'll never know.
So, I come out the end of this little dirt road and what do I come right up behind????
I'll just show you the picture.

That's right, good ol Polk C.I.
Needless to say I got the hell outta there (Right after I got a quick pic).:sinister:
So, we're on our way.
Turn after turn, slowly getting towards our destination (We hope).
Running from the ominous dark clouds the whole time.
Sometimes even coming up on roads that were freshly wet.
We're on a nice long stretch and I go to make a pass around a car doing the limit only to pass a "Statie" doing 87 in a 55.
Thank God Crystal got her jacket unzipped in time or the day would've been 1,000 times worse.
I actually was turning around when he was catching up to me so I pulles right over (They like that).
I plead my sad sob story of dirt pig trails and running from the rain all the way from Tampa in search of the perfect stunt spot and he was meciful and let us go with a warning. YES!!!!
On we went.
Only to make a million little twists and turns in orange field country only to come upon a street that wasn't on my list!!!!!
Now I'm really pissed. By this time it's well after 4 and I'm doubting I'll ever find this F-ing spot!!!
After alot more miles, lunch at Firehouse subs and 2 more stops for help with directions (From a cop and 5 kids going fishing), we were finally somehow getting VERY close.
And then after another long, winding, hopeful stretch of road.
There it was...the street I'd been screaming in my helmet for over 4 hours!!!!
I wanted to get off the bike and kiss the ground but I had to see this spot!!!
It had better be everything I was hoping or I was gonna lose my mind.
We cruised down and around straights and stretches, not thrilled but not pissed yet.
I kept going hoping it would get better, please get better, please be the perfect spot!!!
And then we took the last corner and I breathed a long over due sigh of stunt relief!!!
Maybe it was meant to take all day cause when we took in that stretch of open road it must've been 5:30pm and it was beautiful!!!
As long as you could ever need and clear on both sides with beautiful shade trees on either side well off the raod and water!!!!!
This spot is so F-ing sweet I'm afraid to show anybody cause I never want it to get burnt by those that eventually burn every spot.
Anyway, to those that actually took the time to read this damn thing-Thanx.
We actually had a great time today and I got a great story to tell.
I've gotta give Crystal HUGE props for sitting behind me through close to 5 hours without 1 complaint, I love you baby!
And yes my friends. We have a fantastic new spot much closer to home.
I do feel a little stupid though cause the spots about 45 miles from Tampa.
Should be able to get there in 30-45 minutes, NOW THAT I KNOW WHERE THE HELL I'M GOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I got a few pics while I was there.
